I have 1 child that currently goes to Etowah Elementary and have an older child that went to school there. It is a school that is totally centered around your child and his/her education. They have excellent teachers with small classroom sizes that allow for more one on one with each student. It is also ranked one of the top schools in North Carolina. If you want your child to attend the best schools then Etowah is the place to send them.

Three of my children attended this school and overall it was a fairly good school. They came from Fletcher Elem. when they moved the school zones around, and that school is hard to compete with. The front office staff is by far the best ever and the principal is pretty darn good. Most of the teachers were okay, not great, and one particular fourth grade male teacher was horrible. My daughter, four years later, still talks about him. She said he 'creeped her out'! He was so bad that we had her moved to another class, which she loved. The principal knew the teacher was not acting the way he should and he did not hesitate to move her. I think there are a few better choices in Henderson County -Fletcher, Hendersonville Elem, Atkinson, Mountain Community School - but this school is not horrible. It all depends, like all schools, good or bad ones, on the teacher you wind up with.
