My daughter was one of the first to graduate from Ely Learning Bridge. Her middle school years turned out to be very positive because she was in an environment where she felt loved and valued. There are not really strong cliques and the kids have a unique bond they carry to the high school level. The learning was fantastic as well. Teachers are well qualified and children learn many different ways. The way I see it, this school will only get better!! Highly recommend for a middle school age student.

I was nervous about this school initially, but I'm so thankful for it now that my daughter has been attending for a few months. The staff is extremely welcoming and they excel at making each student feel valued and loved. I'm astounded at the progress my daughter has made in less than 12 weeks in ALL subject areas. A wonderful learning environment with quality educational opportunities.

Learning Bridge employees' arededicated teachers and administration. Learning Bridge has a very active PTCO and Friends of Learning Bridge Organization. The school has a broad base of volunteers. They come into read with students, to help with hot lunch, build floats and help in the community. The students are being introduced to a complete curriculum. Core Knowledge is a spiral curriculum that teaches the whole child. History, geography, literature, sciences, music and art, this curriculum leads to higher test scores because all subject areas connect. Teaching content is teaching reading. The school also offers a basic Mandrain Chinese experience. Research shows that teaching Chinese causes both sides of the brain to function at a higher level. The school offers an after-school program along with a special EL component. The school has a 70 piece advance band and 20 in the beginning program. A volunteer leads our 4-8th grade choir. Family nights/activities are held each month. The school has a large science fair each year, grades K-8 partcipate. Generous professionals take time to judge/interview our students, which makes the science fair experience very complete. Learning Bridge is the only school in our area that sends our local winners to the state science fair competion.

The school is terrible as a middle school. They have combined classrooms for non consecutive grades and they refuse to use textbooks. My student is leaving the 8th grade without even knowing how to write a paragraph. The school does not teach science or math. My student has learned the same science and math lessons for the last 3 years without advancing to more difficult subject matter or grade level required science and math. This is an administration problem, not a teacher problem.
