I was an employee for 14 years. I quit mid year. The administration are not supportive and will not back you. They bullied me all the way out of a job.

I've been going to this school since pre-k. I am in my last year now (thank God). This school has a serious problem with bullying, yet they do nothing to stop it. The most they do is have a talk with you and the bully. the only way I stopped getting bullied was by fighting the kid- then the school finally did something about it. I am also Jewish, yet the school does not necessarily provide kosher options when it is lunchtime- meaning if I didn't bring a packed lunch, I have to go without food for the rest of the day. This school also isn't very good with providing support for people with disabilities and mental illnesses, I myself have autism and anxiety- which the school has provided no accommodation for me even after speaking to the principal MULTIPLE times. The most they do about it is send me to a counselor and if she isn't there I just have to go about my day while having a panic attack or meltdown.Overall, I would not recommend this school. Some teachers are amazing and I loved them its just the higher ups that don't do their job.

I hate this school I get bullied literally all day. For example someone poured a whole bottle of water on me and the teacher saw it and I told him then he ignored me, then later my teacher says “what do u want me to do”. Then a few moments later he says “ok then I’ll write a referral”. But then when I just push the student who threw water on me BOOM SUSPENDED FOR 3 DAYS. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. ALSO THE NEW TEACHERS DONT KNOW HOW TO TEACH I HAVNT LEARNED ONE THING THIS WHOLE YEAR BECAUSE TEACHERS ARE FOCUSED ON PEOPLE WHO DO KNOW HOW TO LEARN. AND THEN I ASK FOR EXTRA HELP FROM A DIFFERENT STAFF/RTI PERSON (IDK WHAT THEY ARE CALLED) AND THEY SAY NO LIKE WHAT???

Absolutely by far THE WORST experience we’ve ever had with a school EVER over the course of 16yrs and 3 children. We recently moved here in August and got here 2wks into the school year. I did my research on this school prior to moving, knowing this was within our boundary & read awful things. I knew I didn’t want our son to go there, but I had no clue of the open enrollment process and by the time I found out, every school was waitlisted, so we had no choice. I expressed my concern when enrolling him & they indicated all those awful reviews were from the prior administration/staff and they had a complete change over this year. That being said, it is quite clear there is no cohesion or consistency with the staff or administration on how they handle things. Communication is lacking, and there’s absolutely no problem solving skills when there’s an issue with a student. Instead, they are quick to write students up for nonsense and quick to suspend without having implementing any sort of formal behavioral or learning plan (look at their suspension rates - abnormally high compared to other schools, it’s actually red-flagged on this site as disproportionate)!!! They rely solely on the parent to come up with ideas verses actually using their educator skills and degrees to come up with reasonable solutions. They refuse to accept any sort of responsibility for their failures, and push all the blame on the students and parents……completely and utterly disgusting! Our son had ZERO issues in a school that was a middle school and high school mix. How, now, in one school year has he had numerous issues to include suspensions and threat of expulsion in a school with an elementary and middle school mix?! Makes absolutely no sense. Our son has come home discouraged and frustrated because he feels like the teachers don’t listen to him and are nitpicking every single thing he does, like he can never do anything right. It’s rather sad to see your child’s willingness to learn deteriorate right before your eyes. He used to love going to school and doing math, now he can’t stand any of it! Something serious needs to change at this school…….the students are the ones losing here & they are supposed to be our future! If you can avoid this school, DO!!!

This school is horrible. My daughter is special needs and was given food that she is highly allergic to (her teacher and nurse were told about the allergy, all necessary documents were brought it and she had an EPI pen in the nurses office). She broke out in hives immediately and the nurse did nothing but call me, didn't administer benadryl or EPI pen. My daughter also has epilepsy and when I unenrolled her and asked for the paperwork back from the nurse from the Dr to give to the new school until I could get new ones it took them 45 mins to find her active seizure plan! This school is going to kill someone with their negligence

Thompson Ranch is absolutely the worst school I have encountered. The teachers do their best but the students are out of control, disrespectful, and have no desire to learn. Parent involvement is almost nonexistent. The whole environment is toxic and dysfunctional. I wouldn't let my worst enemy attend this school. Just....no.

This school is horrible. My 6 year old daughter and niece have been being bullied by a 4th grade kid. I've been trying to get in contact with the vice principal, but she seems to be so busy. I've heard of kids getting beat up by multiple children and the teachers are just standing there not doing anything to help. I'm looking for a new school for my kids. I'm thinking of leaving dysart district completely. The administration only cares about their pockets not the kids. I would of gave 0 stars

This school needs the school board, the mayor, the sheriff dept, state representative, news media, social media and many more needs to crack down on this school about the sexual assault that this happening but the vice principal turned the other cheek and called sexual assault, "horse playing" and making the victim student feel worse than ever and can't rely on the vice principal to protect students who are/has experienced this at his school and make them out to feel like they are lying. DON'T EVER SEND YOUR CHILD(REN) TO THIS SCHOOL!!!!! It's 2018 and I would not ever recommend this school.

If you care at all about your child's future, I would steer clear of this school. The kids are cussing at each other, getting physical with each other and using very derogatory names towards each other. When the students let their teachers know what is going on and being said, the teachers tell them they don't like people who tattle. We send our kids to school to learn and hope they are protected while they are not with us. If you have teachers like this, then what is the point? I've never been to a school where so many of the teachers act like they hate their job and do not want to be there.

Bullying/fighting is a major problem at this school. Both of my daughter's have attended here. My girls are white and the other children who aren't call them names. My girls have never been in trouble or acted out but do come home and tell me about fights happening between other students and no one getting into any real trouble. Just recently the bullying has been directed at my youngest. 11 different students stood around in a circle and called her different names & threatening and told her "you don't know what my hands can do to you. " staff doesn't seem to have the kids under control as the kids tell me the children are cursing and yelling at teachers. 8 & 9 yr olds shouldn't be cursing and causing interruptions. These things can be stopped with punishment and maybe they'd turn out half decent too.

Good luck when dealing with the Administration at this school-very disappointed. Many excellent teachers at Thompson Ranch though.

Hello I have three students that attend this school. The school is okay an the staff are really helpful. Only thing I have one problem It's that the teachers can't call long disence. Some of the perints have long discents numbers. Please try to fix the problem. Thank you.
