What a privilege it is to work at this family oriented school. We are not only employees together, we are friends with each other. The school works hard with the relationships we build with family and community members. Children who pass through the halls of White Oak are given a fantastic experience and chance of a life-time to grow with super roots.

White Oak is a great K-2 school. Caring teachers do everything they can to help students succeed. Individualized instruction is provided for all students - those needing remediation and those ready to expand beyond their grade level in certain areas. Instruction in Art, PE, Creative Movement, Physical Education, etc, are included on a weekly basis. It is a warm, caring environment and a perfect place for students in Chowan to begin their school career.

White Oak School is an amazing place for students and staff. Teachers at WOS are truly committed to the education of our K-2 students. White Oak is a great place to be. The staff is dedicated and truly works hard to give each child the best education possible. The interest and heart of each child is at the core of what teachers do each day. The staff has several National Board Certified teachers, teachers who have their masters, and teachers who participate in ongoing staff development to provide the best possible instruction. It is an awesome place tfor children to learn. As a parent, my children have had an awesome experience here at White Oak. They have been nurtured and have grown both academically and emotionally.

Working alongside staff at White Oak School has been an amazing experience. The staff is extremely supportive of each other and show great dedication to their students' success. I have been teaching for 5 years and I truly believe I work at the best school. White Oak has the best teachers, students, and staff. I believe we work together to benefit each individual child. We all work together as a team to help and grow each student grow. I believe that I work at the best school with the best staff in the world. I look forward to helping students grow and I also look forward to my child attending White Oak in the future.

White Oak rocks! The staff works tirelessly to meet the needs of ALL students. My son attended K-1 at another school and moved to White Oak in second grade. While we were worried about the transition, White Oak teachers eased our minds. He loves school and his teachers work hard to grow him in all areas! I truly appreciate all the teachers and staff at White Oak and how hard they work each and every day for all students!
