My son is in the am kindergarten program. We are happy with the content he is learning. He is happy with his teacher, who communicates in a highly effective manner with our family. We are updated on his progress and are given work to do with him at home. There is also an extended day program for the half day kindergarten to extend out the day to a full day experience. There are many programs for the family to share in at Perry L. Drew.

My student went here during the 2009-2010 school year for fifth grade. It was the first school my son went to that had IEP children taught in the same classroom for all day. It was great! He didn't have to be singled out by pulling him out of class and missing what was going on while he was away. Not only that, but my son EXCELLED here! The teacher saw he was gifted in math and recomended that he skip a math grade for the next year. It was also the first time he did well in ALL his subjects! I thought we came from a good school and was really worried about this one, but I didn't need to. Today, because of Perry L. Drew, my son is now taking high school credits in both Math and Science and he is only in the 8TH grade.

My daughter went to the Drew School for 3 years. Thank heaven we moved. I was actually told by her second grade teacher that she would never be able to pass any state-wide exams because she had an attention problem. She also used my daughter as her scapegoat (I am a teacher and saw what was going on with my own eyes). When we moved, her new school and district worked with her extensively and she is now in high school and makes honor roll every marking period! I shudder to think what would have happened to her if she was still in the East Windsor school district but seeing what my old neighbors have to deal with I know that moving to another district was the best choice we ever made.

There is no curb appeal for Drew. At least the inside looks new. Aside from the physical flaws, the teachers and academics are top notch.
