We couldn't be happier with the education our children have gotten at this wonderful neighborhood school. The community is warm and inclusive and the teachers and staff are exceptional.

We have been at Swallow Union for 3 years and completely love the warm community and excellent education for our three children. I can't speak highly enough about all of the administration and staff, they all know the children well and keep their best interests in mind. The teachers are incredibly dedicated and caring, and we can see that they truly love their work in the classroom. We are nearing the end of summer vacation at the time of this writing, and my children can't wait to get back to school! Swallow Union is a true gem in this charming and welcoming town.

We love the swallow union. We made a great decision by moving to the town and having this school district educate our children.

Outstanding. We are just finishing up our 3rd year at Swallow Union & it has been a great experience. Mr. Myerson waits outside every morning to greet every child, rain or shine. The children love and respect him. Our teachers have each been amazing. We've had the pleasure of having Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Coronis & Mrs. Rozzi. They have all been prompt when answering questions, warm & gentle w/ my children & are all great instructors. The Union building is old & it's also a town treasure. Like many public buildings it takes time to get the ball rolling for maintenance work. From what I understand the planning for this work is well underway & will begin soon. The building is safe & seems in decent condition to me. I won't lose sleep b/c the paint is chipping! The teachers seem to have a knack for providing a challenging learning environment w/ out any of the anxiety or worry that so often burdens high performing schools.Everyone you meet at SU is outstanding at what they do, professional & warm. The community of parents & teachers is very close. Moving to Dunstable & enrolling my children at SU is the single best thing that I have done for them.

Awful. We and other families we know are looking into other school options. The building is ancient, and there is no air conditioning. August-October the building is sweltering. It is dingy and run down. The Union Building has paint hanging off of it, and rotting wood. Dilapidated. If you get a good teacher, you're lucky because the ones we have encountered thus far do not communicate well with parents. Emails go ignored, phone calls go ignored, notes home go ignored. There's a particular teacher in grade two who will bury your 7-8 yr old in homework. There's a particular teacher in grade 3 who is completely unresponsive to parents. The Sped dept is disorganized with staff who don't communicate with eachother or make notes on students in meetings. It's nearly impossible to get a response from them on how your child is doing. Testing and reporting deadlines go ignored. This place is an absolute mess.

Swallow Union is such a wonderful place. The teachers know all the kids by name and try to provide a challenging environment for each. Even Principal Meyerson is very hands-on and involved. Both my boys love it there!
