As a teacher that is also an alumni of this school, I am proud to be a Dora Bulldog. Our teachers, administration, and students are very caring of one another. The students are up to any challenge academically and athletically. Our students also have a great mindset for community service with all of the different clubs we have. Dora High School is a great place to grow and learn.

I am a alumni of Dora High School. Both my children are graduates. Graduated 2005 and 2009. The academics could use a great improvement. My children were not prepared for college at all. The academics did not prepare them for ACT's. I had several problems with some teachers being verbally out of line. There are some younger teachers there that try to make a difference, Yet the older teachers who have been there since I graduated in 84 seem to be burned out as evidenced by their attitude and teaching. My children told me several times how class involved watching movies. We are trying to move out of the school district so our 15 year old can get a better education.

We also moved from another district this past year and I am very shocked at the lack of concern from staff and teachers,no communication to the parents.I never know about important dates or meetings. The elem. and middle school have a phone system where they let parents know about important things, so why can't the high school do the same? They could also have a website..(not alumni)just a couple suggestions.I am also worried about my childs saftey..One outside security camera is all that works .That concerns me.
