I am concerned about the leadership... I am concerned with how parent opinions on school decisions are ignored in my opinion.

The School Board and Principal in my opinion make poor decisions based on their belief instead of the best interest of the children. Concerned parent.

Great little school. Everyone is a team in this school. It partners with Barbara Morgan elementary for kids with higher special needs. My special needs child transferred out to Barbara Morgan while my other kiddos attend Donnelly. Bussing was provided since we live in donnelly. My kids have learned so much at both schools and not just academically but also socially and personally. You can feel the united front in the school. Love Donnelly elementary!

This school is amazing. Despite 60% free and reduced lunch count and a stagnant local economy, DES has amazing academic success unparalleled from any other school in the state. Amazingly, DES competes with all the affluent neighborhoods in the Boise district. Despite this academic success, the kids are snowed out most of the year and do not have adequate means to play when the snow is covering the ground for 3/4 a school year. Thanks for the consideration.

Donnelly School is an amazing school where kids learn together. It has a great community feel as a whole. Kindergartners know 5th graders and then fourth graders help first graders. Teachers of every grade are willing to go the extra mile for each individual child's learning. Their learning and safety is their number one concern.
