I can only rate the registration process at the moment and by far it is the most stressful, time consuming process i have evry been through (3 kids 3 schools in 12 years) the new pricipal is kind and courteous, but u cant blame her for the rules :( the school looks like a jail, except jail has a playground :) this school does not. and its the first school ive ever seen without one... hopefully ill be upgrading this rating, but for now.... its not looking soooo good....

I am a mother of multiple children who attend Roosevelt Elem School. Though some experiences with some the teachers are better than others, I have a genuine love and respect with the effort and commitment the teachers and staff makes for the success of the students. My children has been challenged and supported in thier academics by the majority of the educators. Ms. Morie for example has went above and beyond any expectation that i may have had for a teacher and continues to be concerned with the growth and development of my children even though they are no longer students of hers. Most of the educators share that same concern. ROOSEVELT ROCKS!

Unfortunately, my experience with Roosevelt Elem has not been as positive as the rest of the parents on this board. The registration process is a nightmare with the most rude and unprofessional staff I have ever had the displeasure to deal with and even once your child is registered they can't start until days later due to the need to get desks from the district (and this is year after year). And yes. this is supposedly a passing school, but I agree with one other parent, who stated their testing practices should be audited. I feel a learning environment should be a place where a child should feel safe and welcome, I too have noticed that nearly everyone there wears a scowl and they discourage parental involvement...btw NO, there is no playground area, um HELLO! Due to boundary restrictions we are trapped until we can afford private/charter...
