Hello everyone, I worked at Trix Academy for about 2 weeks. I applied to be a teachers assistant, and I wouldn’t recommend for anyone. When I started I shadowed the middle school math teacher His last day was the following Friday of the same week I started. I was concerned because the principal told me that they have not found a replacement yet. When I applied to be a TA I was told I’ll mainly be working with elementary school students. The following week I started teaching middle school math, I was thrown in without any resources or information on what to do besides just give the students laptops. This was only my second week. It was the fifth week of school. I was told just to “hold it down”. The second week of school a payday came. I reached out to an HR worker who I communicated with during my hiring process. She no longer worked with Phallen Academy when I reached out. So I reached out the the principle who connected me with HR. It turns out Phallen Academy HR didn’t even know I started working so I wasn’t in their system. On my last day, we had a lock down drill was had. I was made aware of this an hour before. When the lockdown, was over I wasn’t made aware until I texted the teachers group chat cause no one told. We sat at least 20+ mins. This same day, I was pushed by a student because I asked him to step outside and tuck his shirt in. When it came to the support I received it was little to none.-Some teachers gossip about the students & their parents. -Students are not allowed to use the bathroom during class and barely have time too,-Little to no extra curricular activities.-The school is infested with roaches and I wasn’t made aware until my students pointed it out while one was on the dry board.Just because this school is under new ownership dosen’t mean anything. Be cautious of working here as well as sending your child here.

Terrible school. Staff act like they care while they are completely fake to students and parents. Teachers and administrators are unapproachable and unknowledgeable. Administration thinks it's okay to gossip in the office as they eat and scroll through Facebook ALL day. I would never send my children here, EVER.

I have been a staff member at Trix Performance Academy for the last two and a half years. I've never worked in a building that has such amazing team work, communication, leadership, and sense of community and positive school culture. There is a vast amount of supports, services, and resources provided to not only our staff and students but to our families within the community. Seeing our school thrive after being defined as "under performing" for nearly a decade is truly something to be proud of!

I have worked in 3 schools and Trix Performance Academy is by far the best work environment. Our principal and staff truly care about the students and it shows from our academic data alone. Students learn best from staff they love and at Trix they are learning! The school environment is family oriented. We call ourselves a Trix Family and we truly are...from the staff, parents and students. We are a high achieving school for a reason! :)

The teachers at Trix truly care about students' physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Teachers collaborate to provide academic success in all subjects. Core subjects are taught using visual, spatial, auditory, and hands-on learning. Trix provides a well-rounded education; and we as teachers strive to improve daily instruction, activities, and independent learning.
