Wonderful staff always willing to go above and beyond their call of duty. Great communication with the staff and the teachers & the principal there always to help you and ur child. Love the fast that there's always someone outside to greet you as you come into the building and there's always someone outside to make sure your children have a safe return home to you. Over all this is a wonderful school.

I have about four generations of family members that attended this school including myself from kindergarten until sixth grade. Times have changed and the neighborhood doesn't look the same anymore but that has nothing to do with the care for each individual child. I must say I was impressed. Values as well as education are greatly exercised by the male leadership in the school. Many of the children are poverty stricken but that's never an issue well you can't tell if it is and I strongly believe that's because of the family style learning environment. One of the secretaries stand at the door every morning and literally greet 98% of the children by name & encourage them to have a great day. Breakfast lunch & dinner is offered daily. Another thing that I like is the fact that your child's learning is monitored & will place them with the studies needed so my son didn't have to work on a lower level. I could go on I see Great potential for Burns it's like a diamond in the rough. The PTSO are much involved, the children are imperfectly perfect & the entire staff appears to truly care

Its a very good school since they changed it to a eaa scholl its the parents that give the school a bad name
