Bagley is now a high performing neighborhood school. The school is among the highest performing Elementary Schools in the city of Detroit. It truly is a wonderful place with excellent culture and climate. The teachers are awesome!

I moved to Detroit and everyone on my block told me to enroll my kids at Bagley. When I went there, I was blown away by how awesome the school is. They had technology everywhere! My kids love going there now and I even convinced my cousin to enroll her kids at Bagley. Everybody loves this place.

my family just moved to Detroit this year and navigating the whole public school system has a learning curve I'm finding. Today I went to one school that is not enrolling mid school year that told me to check bagley. So we went to check it out. This very tall very nice man was at the main entrance and I asked if he could tell me where to find the office. The Positive Energy that radiated out of this man who introduced himself as principal frost was refreshingly unexpected. my son and I introduced ourselves and took a quick look inside. WOW! just wow. They painted all kinds of art pieces on the walls during the pandemic and it's so cheerful and bright and fun. There were some children sitting on the steps waiting to be picked up and I asked them " So you like this principal?" Their eyes lit up and they said yes with ok ut hestation it's pretty obvious they adore him. What a cool cool little school. Keeping my fingers crossed we can get my son in there mid year if not I will patiently wait until I can because that's a good school right there. it's very obvious the staff is one hundred percent about engaging their students. the gym is little cute well cared for and has hero pictures up on the walls of the greats in sports... Simone Biles ,the William's sisters, michael jordan little bit of everyone to look up to and inspire. principal frost told me a little bit about their curriculum journalism and technology focus with current equipment iPads and stuff. I cannot wait to go back tomorrow and have an official tour. that's my two cents but if your reading this I think a lot changed during the pandemic for them because the reviews from 2013 dont seem very accurate to what I Just experienced at the school today 20022.

My children attended Bagley for the 2012-2013 school year. I liked my K-4 child's teacher Ms. Zielke.

I am the grandparent of four inspiring children. This is their first year in this district. We recently relocated from a district that reflected proper educational envirnment: learning, nutrition, and safety. Therefore, Bagley School was highly recommended, by adults who attended 5 years ago as well as a neighbor. I believe in all fairness, especially when it comes to locations of school. I know that some schools struggle with teaching staff, supplies and equipment. However, disturbing comments of: overcrowding 6 grade classrooms, fights, dirty classrooms the beginning of the school year, and food not worth eating sometimes I m concerned. Recently, there was no milk given with cereal, the orange juice was warm, or the milk taste like it was sour: Listen, if our children are going to be the next doctor, President, builder, or Olympic gold medalists, present and future; we have to give them a chance now. I am hoping that Bagley as well as the Board of ED in the Detroit area is listening, and providing our schools with: proper education, nutrition, and safety, if one area lacks the other's suffers. I look forward to becoming more involve in the education of our young people. clh.

Teachers are great and caring. Mrs. Brooks (principal) is not a great fit for this school or the teachers. I and other parents, feel that she is not effective and not a team player.
