My son has been at Barka Elementary for a couple of years now, and I couldn't be happier with the educational experience and community he belongs to. The school is easily the most maintained elementary school in the district (albeit the most recently built) because the staff, parents, and kids take care of it. The two teachers he's had are both gems. They genuinely care about the kids and positively impact their impressionable lives. Principal Brown is a strong leader; he's upfront with you and does his best to ensure your little one is cared for and a welcomed member of the Barka community. The rub is the location and logistics around drop-off, pick-up, and after-school events. The school is nestled behind a nice residential street with insufficient parking. If your kiddo goes here, be aware of this and prepare yourself.

This is a such a great school for my child. My child is always so excited to go to school in the morning. I am just so thankful for the great staff that teach my kid and make it as fun as possible. I am really just so grateful that my child has a great education. Thank you Barka elementary school.

I can say my son’s whole team have honestly been absolutely fantastic with him over the years. I know they want what is best for him.

a nightmare...if you have legitimate concerns about your child they just lie to you and pretend everything is ok.

3, If your child is in special education at this school, you will need an advocate. Bullying is ignored. Teachers are stressed. Parent concerns are either ignored or downplayed.

Great school with awesome and caring teachers. Principle is very nice gentlemen. Librarian is sweetest person, every single teacher is very dedicated and hard working.

Love the staff, very caring. Principal knows each student by name. School addressed bus bullying issues IMMEDIATELY as soon as we made them aware.
