It's my first week in Carver and I really don't recommend going the kids there don't really care about their grades or life and curse a lot I already got slammed in the head by a 7th grader. Please don't go to this school they made it sound so great in orientation but it really isn't anything special.

Debería controlar más a los alumnos y evitar las peleas . La directora no controla el bullying aparte es una escuela muy desorganizada

Terrible school, students are violent and out of control. Teachers are treated like trash by the principals hence the high turnover rate, which is a concern for parents because when teachers leave their replacements are low paid long term substitutes without any certifications to actually teach the subjects. Palm beach school district just turns a blind eye to all of this and then wonders why they are losing so many students, teachers, etc. to private and charter schools.

Carver is one of the lowest rated schools in the state of florida. The turnover rate for teachers is too high, over 40 teachers left in one school year. which should raise eyebrows about the conditions at this campus. The student behavior is absolutely horrible, they curse out the teachers and get into fights every week, the school often goes on lockdown. carver is unsafe, the test scores are worse than almost every school in the state and should be shut down like Odyssey middle was.

If I could give this school zero stars, I would. The behavior of the children is absolutely horrible. They are rude, disrespectful, refuse to listen to the teacher, curse, and physically fight with one another. They get sent to the office and are returned to class after a sit down and nothing changes. It's no wonder why this school has a low rating.

the school district of palm beach county needs to held accountable in finding out why teachers are so unhappy with being at this school. my son attends this school and he said that some of his classes had teachers just leave out of nowhere. he said his reading class alone had multiple teachers come and go before half the year was over, he said one was in there for about a week before he left and never came back. the turnover is very high here compared to other middle schools in palm beach county and according to the staff survey this has one of the lowest staff satisfaction rates of any school in palm beach county. it said teachers are generally very unhappy being here. the teachers are the ones who are teaching our students and we need to make sure there is stability here instead of having our kids taught by many different teachers a year. if teachers are this unhappy with being at this school, especially compared to other schools in the district, then its a symptom that there is something seriously wrong with the way they are being treated or other serious problems that are not being addressed. i mean even the principal left before the year was over.

When I here on the first day of school on the 6th grade, I already came with a depressed viewpoint. On the last day of school on 8th grade, my views were incredibly warped. A sizable chunk left during the summer after 6th grade; most went to charter schools or enrolled in choice programs at Boca schools. The infrastructure of the school is crumbling. We've experienced days where the electricity system broke. Compared to other local middle schools, this school is the most disorganized. I can't even count the times an ambulance has been called for incidents! Don't even ask for high school preparation. Only a few local schools showed up, the rest were charter schools. But Don Estridge had there high school choice event during the day, so students could be available. One major tip is don't eat the school lunch. The options are limited, and the good food is in the long line. There's been a few occasions where the chips I bought were stale. You're basically a prisoner here. They lock the bathrooms everyday. And even though the bathrooms are locked most of the time, they still aren't clean. Your bus WILL be late numerous times. If you have serious quirks, some people will go out of their way to alienate you. This is Delray's only middle school, so it's best to leave Delray for middle school. If you're stuck here for the 3 year ride, plan for high school well. Atlantic is better only for the IB program. Boca High and Spanish river are over capacity so that leaves Olympic Heights and West Boca ( better to go South instead of North). It'll be easier to get in the choice programs there, plus the schools provide are full of replenished resources.

It's the first week of school. So far so good. My child is loving Carver and is glad they made the choice to come here. My only issue is with transportation.

My daughter attended Morikami Park Elem. and then we chose to to continue the IB program by chosing Carver Middle and we are very happy with that decision. She has continue to make straight As, score above average on FCAT and she made the highest gain on the Fcat score ever. The transition from elementary school to middle school is not easy but my daughter said that it was. Thank you Carver Middle teachers, staff and Mrs. Prophete for doing a great job!

Have a daughter who has been in the IB program and has worked very hard to keep a 3.0 abg. The teachers and Ms. Prophete deserves a lot of the.cr dit. I do feel that as a parent we have opportunities to help the school and our kids by participating with PTA n SAC. It takes a family as well as these teachers to raise our kids. And if an issue comes up Ms Prophete's door is always open. Believe me.

I'm a student at carver community middle school. It IS a safe student enviroment I can guarantee. there is a 5 out of 1000 chance you will get hurt. I'm a 8th grade student we have our 3rd hour everyday which is pretty neat I have Mrs. L Wilson everyday she is very nice. But I do agree that the staff here at Carver have clouded judgement when it comes to kids getting into trouble which means they don't really listen and and they can be tyrants. But I promise everyone out there that carver is a very good school and we are a safe enviroment depending on who you hang out with your first impression at carver will change your school year in a good way depending on who you hang out with. Thank you from T.R.B

Carver is making improvement. I'm a student at Carver. Now that Ms.Prophete is principal Carver is getting better. Carver had orientation for the 1st time. I went to SGA and I never had so much fun in a club. Even though Carver has a bad reputation , it's improving.

Embarrassing is an understatement. The fact that a public school can turn a blind eye to seemingly any problem that arises is ridiculous. Students at the school do little to no work, which is due in large to the fact that the administration doesn't help the teachers when a major problem occurs in the classroom or out in P.E. You could buzz the office a number of times, step out into a hallway and still no help arrives. Even attendance arrives nearly an hour past the school's start time. Adding further fuel to the fire, how do they justify having classes like Business Tech or any elective like P.E. have more than 75 kids in the class. The Bus. Tech class doesn't even have enough computers for half the class. Find another school for your child, especially if you care about their education.

I found the teachers to be pretty good, it seems as they work hard and communicate often, Though the principal and other administration does not seem to be creating a very nurturing school. Very harsh in their words and I did not like tone of voices.

My child just started going to Carver. There have been a few bumps in the road but nothing major. So far I have found the administration and teachers responsive to my concerns. Phone calls and emails have been returned in a timely manner. I wish the school would do a better job with overall communications with parents.

My grandson attended Carver Middle school for three grades, 6-8 and I was pleased about everything at school for the entire time that he had been there. The teachers and other members of staff were very good, helpful and kind. The interaction with everyone could not have been any better, you feel as though you are with your immediate family when you are there with them. You have an open communication with them, which I highly appreciated. The teachers will always return telephones calls and respond to email messages. I love Carver and I would recommend it to other parents who seek quality education and family oriented environment for their children. The District has chosen a great principal, Mrs Wallace for Carver Middle School.
