I'm so glad we made the decision to send our kids here. As a parent, I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience with education and God fearing. Best teachers and stuff members at the school. I definitely recommend STM for any parents.

It is my daughter’s first year at Saint Thomas More and it has been very welcoming for both of us. All the staffs are always willing to help. My kindergarten daughter’s reading and writing skills has improved significantly in short period of time. I definitely recommend STM to any parents.

STM has truly become a second home for our children in 3rd grade, Kindergarten, and Pre-K. What sets STM apart from other private schools is the strong sense of community rooted in diversity, tradition, and unity. The school doesn’t just educate; it instills important values, teaching children to do God’s work and to care for one another. We’re incredibly grateful to the teachers and staff who show genuine love and care for our children every day. STM is more than just a school—it’s a family that nurtures both mind and spirit.

Saint Thomas More Catholic School has been an integral part of our family for over sixty years. With my children being the third generation to attend, STM has become more than just a school—it’s a community that fosters growth, learning, and faith. The STM community is comprised of families who are deeply involved and supportive of their children’s educational journeys, as well as teachers who are wholeheartedly dedicated to partnering with families. Together, they create a nurturing environment where children thrive both academically and spiritually. What makes STM truly special is the way children, families, teachers, and staff care for one another. There is a genuine atmosphere of kindness, respect, and support that extends across every aspect of the school. The values instilled at STM go beyond academics. Thank you, STM School, for being a constant source of love, faith, and excellence for our family and for so many others.

I'm so glad we made the decision to send our kids here. My kids are now in 5th and 8th grade and have been thriving. My older daughter is challenged in Science and Math particularly, but the teachers here give her - and me - so much support. My younger daughter has a strong interest in Art, and I feel lucky to have found a place where STREAM learning is highlighted and her passion is encouraged. The teachers we've encountered really seem to care about the kids and I've witnessed several times when a teacher has gone the extra mile to motivate a class to do their best. The community at the school has also been so welcoming - leadership is very approachable and they really "walk the talk" when they say the "STM family." Almost all of my friends are other STM moms, and I'm thankful to the school for introducing me to a village when we first moved here. Highly recommend!

As a parent, I couldn’t be more pleased with our experience at St. Thomas More School. From the moment we enrolled our child, it was clear that the teachers here treat their students with the utmost care and love, as if they were their own children. They are deeply invested in each student’s well-being and always strive to bring out the best in them. The administration at St. Thomas More is equally impressive. They are incredibly supportive and responsive, always going above and beyond to ensure a positive and enriching environment for all students. Their dedication to maintaining high standards in both academics and extracurricular activities is truly commendable.Overall, St. Thomas More School has provided our child with a nurturing and inspiring educational experience. We are grateful for the exceptional care and commitment shown by both the teachers and the administration. This school truly feels like a second family to us.

My child was in 6th and 7th grade here. The math class was horrible. My child NEVER had homework and complained that they were not being taught anything in that class. It showed! His standardized math scores tanked at this school! We addressed it with the principal earlier in the school year and explained the disparities between the teaching in the advanced math class and regular math class. We asked that my child be moved to the advanced math class, but the principal refused. We addressed it again before the start of the new school year, and the principal failed to acknowledge our concerns and did not respond to my follow up email about this issue. Such a disappointing experience. We heard that other parents were complaining about that math class as well.

Much of our lives, we’ve been transplants from one big city to another, however after joining STM, we now feel at home, grounded and thrilled how well our son has progressed in this environment. We feel exceptionally pleased by the progress he’s made and the community feel we’ve experienced. We hope this is a powerful testament and reason for you child/ren to join STM. Simply love it! Thank you and see you soon!

My family has attended STM for 5 years. Our eldest son is currently in the 4th grade and our youngest is in kindergarten. I wish we were warned of this before we started this journey. If you are not a POC, this review does not pertain to you as you will have a wonderful experience I am sure.If you are a POC, please stay away from this school. To my POC, please do not attend this school. There are alternative options in the same neighborhood that are made for children of color and made to ensure their SAFETY! My son had an incident in which the blatant racism forced us out of the school. It started with a simple situation, a kid pushed my son off a bench, and my son grabbed the shirt of the bully and told him not to do it again. Since no adult was around to witness this situation, the friends of the bully ran to the teachers first. My son was ignored. My son expected the adults to see that he defended himself but sadly mistaken, because he was given In School Suspension and the bully received no punishment. I was told by the VP that my son should've hit him back instead of grabbing the shirt, and since my son did not hit the boy back he received the harsher punishment. I have never heard of anything so absurd in my life. When the VP called me, he said "I must keep the other kids safe", after explaining that my kid was such a wonderful child but he will receive the harsher punishment. The same VP the voted for my son to be in the leadership program. When I asked the VP does he think his decision his fair, he stated it does not matter about fairness, it is his decision. What recourse did my family have at the point? Go back and tell our son that anybody can hit him as long as he tells the teacher first? What lesson is my son learning by over punishing him and he did not start the altercation. I sent the VP articles from reputable researchers about implicit bias and VP not understanding that he could be making his decision based off biases. His determination that my son's reaction is more severe than the initial action is a biased opinion. When we tried to discuss it with him and the principal, we were asked to leave the school. I write my experience in hopes that I save one family of color from having to uproot their children to a new school where they feel equally protected, understood, and loved. Just avoid this school all together if you are a POC. There is no recourse for you when racist/bias situations arise, they will ask you to comply or leave.

We joined the STM Community in July of 2019 due to its nice reputation and size. Since then, our expectations are exceeded regularly and we are so happy about our decision. Our daughters assimilated quickly and effectively into primary school and truly look forward to going to school [almost] every day; they’re learning and having fun doing it. The other families are incredibly welcoming, warm, and generous with their time…and we’ve already made some great new friends. The staff and faculty offer a wide range of diverse experience and backgrounds, and are led by a no-nonsense, yet fair and kind Principal. This is evident in their focused and operative response to the pandemic, inclusive of the daily welcoming (and temp checks) by faculty at drop off and organized send-off at pick up. The teachers are passionate about their jobs and the students and engage collaboratively with parents. The school disrupts any opportunity for monotony with regular spirit days, celebrations, and other activities. One of the best elements of the community is the down to earth nature and proclivity for authenticity; we haven’t experienced any ulterior or self-seeking agendas. We highly recommend this school to any prospective families.

STM is a school that provides challenging academics in a nurturing environment. It is a supportive community. The children are taught to be responsible for themselves. I find the students joyful and adept at public speaking; which I find to be an important skill as they move on to high school.

School is great and definitely prepares your child for High School. That's why I would strongly recommend STM as a school for your child. Our experience there was great. Even kids that have graduated have told me unsolicited that STM really prepared them for High School.HW load help the kids understand time-management early on and advocate for themselves in Middle School which again, prepares them for HS.So in short, you may not realize how great STM is until you've left.

I've known families that have gone there for years, and I was really expecting a great experience. Most schools in the Atlanta Public School system will be academically more rigorous, and they will absolutely deal with special needs, and will make your child feel welcome. I hope that Thomas More will eventually return to the standards it used to have.

St. Thomas More is a fantastic learning community with a compassionate and incredibly engaged staff. Our children have grown by leaps and bounds, both academically and in terms of character, since beginning their journey at STM. We could not have made a better decision for a Christ-centered educational experience for our children.

St. Thomas More Catholic School is strong academically but also puts just as much focus on how the students treat each other and the importance of service to others. I know my son and daughter are encouraged to do their best and that is how progress is tracked.

STM is a school that offers a challenging academic curriculum. The multicultural environment is healthy, warm and friendly. As a former student...the memories are priceless. The faculty and staff go the extra mile (standard). You won't find a school that provides the complete development of your child. A GREAT SCHOOL! Saint Thomas More...Go Tigers!

Our experience as parents has been outstanding. Each teacher I have met is impressive with their warmth, wisdom and experience. Our son's Kindergarten teacher teacher made detailed, specific observations of our son's aptitude, behavior and talent that left me feeling she knows him well and is creating an environment ideal for him to stay sweet, imaginative and stretch him at just the pace I would wish. Beyond the academics, the values taught would be respected by families of any faith. As a family, you will connect with this school and appreciate the small but important ways they influence your kids (principal sitting at lunch with kids, 8th grade buddies for Kindergarteners, and many more).
