I have 2 children at Lindbergh and love it! I think it is very important to mention that it is a leader in me school, which has not been mentioned in any reviews. It has helped both my children to be more confident. The staff is so amazing, they try their best to meet all needs and make it a welcoming environment.

I currently have two children attending Lindbergh Elementary school. I've had a great experience over the past three years. Mrs. DeNeen, the principal, is wonderful, and has an open door policy. I've had positive and negative experiences with the teachers, some were patient and helpful with helping my children develop better behavior, others just complained. In terms of bullying, the school has a zero bullying policy, which is very important in developing children's self esteem. The school was just ranked in the 95th percentile with respect to NWEA scores for the State of Michigan, and received a reward from MI Education Data website.

First I would like to start off by saying there are some really good teachers in this school. My issues with this school and district is the rampant bullying that is allowed to go on in the school and is not stopped or addressed. It is instead swept under the rug and more then likely the one who gets in trouble is the student that has been bullied and can not take it any longer and fights back. There is at least 1 upper elementary teacher who is a bully to the students and if one student that she picks on leaves then she picks another one to bully. It is a very sad state of affairs. The Principal is her way or the highway mentality does not help out at all. Mrs. DeNeen will sit down with you but you essentially get shut down. Mrs. DeNeen and the district are more worried about a reputation then addressing parents concerns or the issues. The district actually wanted me to have my child evaluated for the emotional abuse that he received from the bullying at this school. They wanted him to be diagnosed with a problem so essentially they can make it his fault and not the schools. It is a very sad state of affairs at this school in the management of it. If your child is advanced then you will be spending a lot of your own money and time pushing your child to meet their highest potential. This is not the teachers fault but the district and Principal's fault. If you are a parent that pushes the envelope to try and get your child challenged or you voice your opinion about things they do at the school you will be labeled as a problem parent. Which I am sure I was labeled as. The Social worker there is great but he is barely at Lindbergh. It is sad that this school and district does not do more to identify those being bullied and helping provide help for those students. I am thankful that due to the Principal and a few bad teachers that my children no longer attend this school. This school is not as great as everyone makes it out to be.

Lindbergh School is GREAT!! I have not encountered a teacher or staff member that is not truly in it for the kids. I am amazed by the principal Mrs. DeNeen and the fact that she knows each and every student’s name and is present at all before, during and after school activities. She is AWESOME! All staff (including classroom teachers, music, art and PE, custodians, etc..) are involved in school activities, during and after school hours and encourage the students to do their personal best every day. They truly are a family at Lindbergh. Parent involvement is embraced and encouraged, from in the classroom to field trips to all after school activities. The staff is amazing and I couldn’t ask for a better education for my daughter. If a problem arises, it is handled in a fast and caring way so that it does not progress. She is not only taught subject matter, but how to live “The Lindbergh way”, which is treating others the way that you would like to be treated. This is not “taught” by the staff (all staff) it is shown by example of how teachers treat them and other students. There is no other school I would rather send my daughter to. Love this school!!!

As we are school shopping for a quickly approaching new school year I'm so grateful that my kids get to go to Lindbergh. We love the teachers and staff there. It's a great feeling to know that they will always look out for the kids. They can often be seen calming down anxious students or comforting students having a bad day. I also love that they try to push even the kids that are "advanced" to keep reaching beyond their potential and allowing them opportunities to pursue their own interests.

While there are Some really GREAT teachers at Lindbergh their are also some that leave a lot to be desired! Bullying is swept under the carpet as to not ruin the school's reputation. If your child is advanced they get easily bored as some class sizes are large and the teachers get evaluated on how much they bring up those that are behind so, I can not blame the teachers for this!

Terrific Experience! Our experience with Lindbergh was great, we really enjoyed the active staff, especially the music teacher. The principal is activley engaged and is always available to help! PTA is great, they have provided many needed items at the school including instruments and class room technology. Our best experiences were our 1st, 4th and 5th grades. Only thing we could offer for improvement would be more feedback from art teacher, very little work came home, nor available at conferences.

My youngest will be attending this school for the upcoming school year. I called to get more information about enrollment and to my surprise it was the principal that answered the phone as other staff have already started their summer vacation. She spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me calming my fears about my daughter walking to school for the first time, giving me approximate addresses where potential walking buddies lived in the neighborhood, advising me on exactly what information I needed to bring with me to enroll my daughter, and just being a source of reassurance. If my daughter's education at this school is as pleasant as my initial contact with the school principal I will be one happy mommy! I am an educator, and the time and courtesy that this principal showed is much appreciated! Very impressed so far!

I can't say enough about this school. The staff is extremely competent, loyal, and very involved. My children vary in personality and learning abilities and there is not one teacher that I have been or would be unhappy with. Furthermore, the communication at this school, between the teachers and parents is beyond my expectations. Much of this success is attributed to the amount of parent involvement and PTA support. There isn't a single day that goes by without parent/staff communication of some kind. I can honestly say that I'm a proud parent and this school is truly one of a kind!
