Milo Adventist academy a Christian boarding school, great school with wonderful teachers and students and beautiful nature. Milo is also a diversity high school with a lot of different students from countries around the world.

My experience was great I miss the rainy days

I would not send my kid to Milo for academic reasons. The staff are overworked and are not terribly familiar with their own curriculum. Many of them come up with the curriculum the week or even day before with know clear direction for the student's learning, using YouTube videos and printable worksheets as the spine of the class. There are teachers here teaching subjects they don't have degrees for, often unaware of their students level of learning, compensating by lowering their standards or leaving it completely up to the students to know the curriculum they will be tested on. I do not feel as a student that Milo has prepared me for the SAT nor college standards of education. They also overbook the students with required events every weekend, making it difficult to complete the homework and studying that is required of them. However, if education is not your main concern, I would send my kid to Milo to learn responsibility, leadership, time-management, forgiveness, love, religion, and social work. The student work program is amazing and I'm grateful for the skills I've obtained from it. Though the staff may not fit their job descriptions, they make an effort to connect with the students more than I've ever seen. Relationships are center of the school, and I have learned so much about accumulating and maintaining healthy ones. I also have become much more responsible the 3 years I've been here. I am more independent than ever and my goals for my life are more clear than they would have been if I had not come.

This is the worst school I have ever attended because of the environment and the teachers.

This is a school that has shown me what true friends are. Milo has brought me closer to God, and has given me a family away from home. It is accepting of all people no matter where you are from. And we are always excited to have new people come and visit so please do.

The quiet, peaceful setting create an environment that is truly unique and special. Milo Adventist Academy has an excellent balance of challenging academics, exciting activities, and a very strong spiritual training and mentoring program.

Milo is a great school, i'm a 4 year senior and it has been a journey, its not a perfect school, no school is, but i have learned a lot here, and have grown both spiritually and academically. i love the horse program Milo offers where students can learn to ride, or advance their riding skills, on either a school horse, or one of there own. there are miles of trails to either ride or hike on. Milo also offers several kinds of sports and activity's, as well as a very good music group. great worships and great people. :)
