FOR ALL THOSE PARENTS CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN ATTENTING THIS SCHOOL FALL 2013- YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOO! BECOME INVOLVED WITH THE SCHOOL AND YOUR CHILD S EDUCATION. THE MORE PARENTS WE HAVE WHO CARE THE FASTER THIS SCHOOL WILL MEET THE STATE REQUIREMENTS. DON'T COMPLAIN AND NOT DO ANYTHING. DO SOMETHING AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE EDUCATION YOUR CHILD RECEIVES. PLEASE SEE MY REVIEW OF THIS SCHOOL. This is my son's first year of school and his kindergarten teacher is one of the greatest people I have met. My son was diagnosed with ADHD this year and his teacher and the Vera French worker have been the best support team for us. They have continued to work with my son and thru this entire school year and at the beginning of the year he barely met the requirements and now he is passing all test and meeting all goals. We are looking forward to this coming school year and learning even more great things at Fillmore!

Fillmore has the opportunity to be a great school. There are some people living within the boundary of this school that have chosen to ignore the opportunities of the school to thrive. Yes test scores aren't the best, however STANDARDIZED tests are not the best way to determine if a school is great. I was apprehensive about letting my daughter go to this school when I saw the test scores however I decided that it isn't only up to the school to teach my daughter the things she needs to learn. As a parent if you are involved in your child's learning they will do wonders! Staying in touch with the teachers is easy to do if you take the time to do it. I am dedicated to making this school better by being an active participant in my child's learning. I have two more children that I will happily send to this school in the next two years. I urge other parents to be accountable for their children's education and don't let lower test scores let you pass up this school. They are just numbers and we can make them fly high! We CAN make this school better.

I am a Grandma to Jillian Peiffer, and Matthew Peiffer, and I want to thank you for doing such a great job with my Grandchildren! I went to grade school for a couple of years when I was younger at Fillmore and Howard Backous was the Principal at that time, I have such wonderful memories of going to school at Fillmore. Thank you .... you have allot to be proud of.... Maureen Peiffer
