There's a reason it's a top-rated school. The teachers are gifted and care about the students. The principal, special needs coordinator and social worker are wonderful for working with special needs kids. It's small enough that the students all seem to get along, no major issues or cliques.

Very poor school to send kids to. Some teachers are very rude and do not treacherous parents with respect. Do not keep parents informed of what is going on with their children. Tell parents that inquire about their child its none of their business and if they need to know they will tell them. The principle, social worker, teachers feel it is ok to corner little kids in a room alone with no parent there and without informing the parents (3 adults and 1 child in a room). I am a very involved parent and believe that it is always my business when mt child is involved. My daughter did go to a in a different district through open enrollment and wish I could still financially afford to send her there instead of the DC district.
