    A 5 Star School! This rating system is based on SOL scores. The fact that Stony Mill offers a program for children with special needs surely lowers their average SOL scores. Stony Mill is an excellent school, offering small class sizes as well as excellent parental involvement. The teachers, from my experience, are some of the best, most caring and involved that I have ever encountered!

    I understand this particular rating system unfortunately looks primarily at (of course) the SOL's. We all know standardized tests, though, are never perfect and rarely fair, therefore I give this school a perfect 5-star rating!
