First year of our child enrolled at this school and we could not be more impressed. The communication with the parents is top notch, and constant every single day. We are not just impressed with the academics, but the strong focus on morals was noticed after the first couple of weeks at home. Tuition seems a lot, but we missed the financial aid deadline this past year, hopeful to get it next year. Worth the investment in our child.

St Joes is absolutely wonderful, particularly after our experience at the Danville public school system. The teachers are truly caring and compassionate, and the peers of my son extremely kind. My son thrived while at St Joes. We had started my son in the public school for his first grade before discovering that he was being psychologically bullied by both the children in the class, as well as the teacher (who insisted that my son was lying). It was disturbing. The moment my son went to St Joes, he thrived immediately. In fact, at the end of the school year, he was asked his favorite part about St Joes-- and his answer was "Everything. Everything about this place". To this day, he insists Mrs. Deguzas is his favorite teacher and no one could possibly be better. We are so grateful my son was able to experience the community of St Joes.

This school has a very bright future! My kids love learning for their passionate teachers who do more for a school than imaginable. The new principal is a family oriented person. They stay up to date with technology and I heard they had the best scores in the Diocese on theit standard assessments. We are proud to be Tigers!

This is our first year in the school and we could not be happier. It is a wonderful community of families. Our son is receiving an excellent, well-rounded education. The small class size is extremely reassuring especially considering that the public school's elementary class is composed of 10 classes of almost 20 students each. I feel reassured that my son will not be lost in the crowd. He is learning so much - and is receiving excellent individualized attention from his teacher. It is easy to see why the top of the high school class is consistently full of St. Joseph's grads. I am confident that my son will be more than prepared academically to be the best he can be. He is also being taught how to be a good person as well- which I feel is equally important. The school's focus on strong values and service to the community is invaluable. We are very thankful for the opportunity for our son to attend St. Joe's.

St. Joseph's school has strong sense of community - it is what makes this school great! My children have been part of this school for almost five years at this point. When we were looking at school choices in Danville, my wife and I were looking for a school that would not only provide academic excellence but provide a sense of family and community. We were new to Danville and as a result of our choice of school for our children they are not only receiving an outstanding education but we have integrated into the broader Danville community and have made life long friends with the other parents. Our children are involved in extra curricular activities which has allowed them to establish connections with other children in the public school as well. A new principal started at the school in January 2017 and there is a renewed energy as a result. If you are looking for academic excellence with a strong community St Joe's should be your number one choice.

The schools academics are excellent. Standardized testing scores are strongly competitive both in the dioceses and nationally. Uniformly, students transition well to the public high school curriculum. It's no coincidence that historically year after year many of the best academic performers at Danville High School received their early education at St Joseph School. Children are exposed to dedicated and caring faculty who keep each child's needs in mind. New leadership at the school have some amazing plans for the future! The environment is again family-friendly and loving, creating a strong sense of community. Great things are on the horizon and I m glad my children will be apart of it as students.

Class sizes are small and the teachers are wonderful. My children are challenged by a strong acedemic program, they receive individual help when needed, and are happy in school. I am very pleased. The school atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I wouldn't want my kids anywhere else. My older kids have gone on to high school and were well prepared when they got there. I highly recommend St. Joseph School.

Christian values are taught and experienced at the school. Teachers are all certified in their teaching assignments. Teachers are able and willing to work on several planes to teach all students. New principal is pulling teachers, students and parents together creating a family environment. Graduates usually end up as top graduating seniors at DASD.

Although the school has it's pros and cons, our daughter was one of the 30 students who left the school this past year. It was a difficult decision, however we now realize how far behind she was academically. This was not always the case, as the previous poster had mentioned.

This is the best primary and middle school education in the central Susquehanna Valley. Class sizes are small and each student gets personal attention. All teachers are certified in their specialty and their dedication to the students and schools goes we'll beyond the academic day. Most importantly the students at St. Joseph's are given a moral compass founded in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Over 20% of the students are non-Catholic and all Faiths are respected, however students understand that their education is an important tool to then use to positively impact their community and their world. The majority of the valedictorians in the Danville Public Schools over the past ten years have been graduates of St. Josephs.

When my 2nd daughter graduated from St. Joe's, we realized how unprepared she was for public high school. Thus, I can only give it one star.

Most unpleasant. Unfair and bad bullying issues. Try to see if you are related to any teachers. If you are, you're golden. Otherwise, I do not recommend.

Nepotism runs wild. If you're lucky, you will be a teacher's child or a friend of a teacher's child. Otherwise, how your child is treated is a roll of the dice. This may account for the fact that there are only 70 students left in the school. Good luck and may the force be with you.
