Really good, used to go to spring creek (currently go to MST and hate it and want to go back to SCE) teachers are great, huge PTA, and just love it.

SCE seems like an ideal place, but underneath it's veil it has a toxic social scene where you are in or out (usually income-based) and even if lack of income can't push you to the social fringes, "in" kids (and more often over-involved parents) will push out the "undesriable" children through manufactured conflicts, usually correlating with SES and/or socially progressive nature of the target family. Favoritism runs rampant among the teachers and COI are pervasive in the relationships between most of the teachers and the toxic parents. In short: if you love being a brown-noser and have money, your kids will do great, but when can that not be said?

Needs much improvement!Bullying was rampant 2020-2021 with little teacher help and no parents allowed on campus (COVID). Teachers can say the right things but they don’t follow up with action. I heard about other children’s behavior while discussing my child. From Kinder to 5th my child’s name was spelled wrong and faculty continued to call her by the wrong name right along with the students in the class. Noticeable preferential treatment by teachers to students. Principal has changed three times in six years which makes it difficult to have effective leadership. Hopefully the principal who started the 2020-2021 school year can make improvements. The vice principal addition a few years ago has been helpful. Total number of students is small which is nice and school is blocks from home.I don’t think any school is perfect. I think parents help to make the school what it is and this past year was difficult.

Spring Creek Elementary is the best of the best. It’s apparent that the teachers, staff and parents all support each other so that the children can be in a great program. The small class sizes are an added bonus! My son has a learning difference and the SPED teachers have all been so encouraging and positive.

Hi quality teachers and staff and an overall great student body. We love Spring Creek Elementary. It is unfortunate Great Schools adjusted its rating system to be PC. This is definitely one of the best schools in the area, test scores are off the charts!

I have two boys who attend Spring Creek Elementary. So far, their teachers have been great. The pandemic has definitely made things harder, but the school has done everything in its power to make the best out of a hard situation. Would definitely recommend!

Private School Quality Education with a great neighborhood feel. Small classroom sizes and each grade is limited to two classrooms. This school is absolutely amazing!!!

Both my daughters get inspired a lot in this school. Small Elem, close relation, and every one knows everyone.

Spring Creek is a hidden gem! We love the faculty and the school is much smaller than most in the area with only 2 classes per grade. There are several unique programs focused on exercise, gardening and nutrition and reading that my child loves participating in. Such a great school!

SCE is an incredible, very small public school within a tight-knit community. I am told it is the smallest RISD elementary in the district. Outstanding teachers and creative assignments are constants year after year. We have warm and inclusionary parent involvement. Good principal and the BEST librarian is found at SCE. Yes, we have our own PE, Art, Computer Lab, & Music teachers, too. My children feel like big fish in a little pond. Their self-esteem is bountiful here at this very nurturing and academically challenging.

We have attended this school for 3 years. The school only selects minority students or apartment children for the tutoring programs. There is only 1 black teacher and 1 male teacher in the entire school.

An example of a educational environment that should exist in all public and private schools. Great facility.....great office staff, great principal, great teachers........

What a wondeful school! I have had my two children at Spring Creek the past 5 years and have been thoroughly impressed with the school all around. The teachers are engaging and passionate and the administration is involved on a day to day basis. My children have been challenged and nurtured at SCE from day one! I would recommend this school to any parent!

My child went to this school for first grade in the 2010-2011 school year, and I must say I feel like it was a lost year academically for her. They seemed to be teaching to the bottom of the class and not making much effort to nurture the top. My child is an above average reader, among other things. She can't be the only one. The spelling, reading and math were babyish. To boot, her teacher, in her third year, seemed to take a zero tolerance approach, regularly admonishing my 6 year old for what seemed like ridiculous "transgressions" like "humming" in the hallways, or not paying attention. She's 6. They have short attention spans. I'd say my child is demoralized from the experience, and a year of challenging her academically was lost. I also found the receptionist to be cold, and unfriendly. She is the main face of the school who everyone encounters. Not a people person. Furthermore, there was no diversity here. I never saw so many white faces. I'm white, but I'd like my child to be in a community that reflects the world in which we live. This wasn't it.
