Admittedly, I thought that Nova Academy (Dallas location) was a good school. Unfortunately, there are many areas that require improvement. The school has wonderful teachers, highly skilled with a strong desire to education children. However, the administration definitely is in need of being changed or receive the proper leadership training. The children at Nova Academy (Dallas location) are just like students all over, they are eager to learn and deserve the best high quality educational experiences.

My personal experience has to do with Saturday school in particular. I acknowledge that it was my fault for getting to the school way after time, but I was going through such a stressful situation, that I completely forgot about time. When the school called and I tried to explain the reason, I was told that my situation was none of their concerns. All I could do was crushed because I was extremely upset. I was literally being put out and I was looking for a place, and when I found one, it took just a bit longer than expected, but as soon as I left, I was panicking and to my surprise, all I got was cold, hearted and rude comments. These people don't care. All the interest is in funding. Not the kids, not the circumstances. I wish I could have expressed what was going on, but to say anything to anyone about what was going on, would have been like" and what do you want us to do. I would never put myself in that situation again, and granted, it was my fault, but to be spoken to in such an unimportant, cold-hearted manner and basically given the understanding that you don't give a damn, threatened with taking good my son to the police sub-station, I would never in a million years recommend this institution to anyone. At least in public school, you can speak to someone who can at least guide you.

Both my daughter and son attend Nova Bruton. The principal Ms. Johnson is devoted to the children's education. ANY Parent can appreciate that!! She holds herself and staff accountable. Expects EXCELLENCE from both faculty and student body. I have a "special-needs" child although his disability is not a physical impairment he has challenges with attention and focus. She has took the time to LEARN my child and works with him and staff to ensure his academic success. I being a single parent appreciate knowing my child is receiving education from persons who care!

My children were enrolled in nova academy we participated in every event. The school let my children come home with bruises and they said they fell. The kids are not learning enough. The homework was not sufficient but when they went on break we saw work that was never taught during school. I had asked them for extra work for my son but they never sent what I requested.
