My son has been at Notre Dame for about 6 years. He loves his school, teachers and friends. NDS is his world!! The school has a very active calendar and offers many extracurricular activities and sports. Notre Dame has given me and my husband a peace of mind knowing that we have found a place where our son is loved and accepted. The teachers are very experienced in dealing with challenging behaviors, different styles of learning and different ability levels. Teachers provide support and collaborate with me if my child misbehaves. They are willing to modify curriculum/environment or add behavioral/visual support. They listen to my concerns or any input I would have. They take ownership of their students- My son is “their student, they want him to succeed, and they believe in him”. I highly recommend this school.

My son had an incredible experience at Notre Dame, from the time he was 6 until he graduated at 22. The staff there is incredible, warm, and kind-hearted. They are passionate about the students and the mission of the school, and teach with love, patience, and compassion. My son was excited to go to school every day and made so many friends. Notre Dame helped him to mature into an independent, confident, caring adult and equipped him with the vocational and social skills to be employed upon graduation. He has held his job since graduation and is thriving. We attribute this success to the wonderful experience he had at Notre Dame! Cannot recommend this school enough!

My 8 year old attended Notre Dame and I had to pull him out. I went in full disclosure with the staff that my son had suffered trauma. The staff was very reassuring that they have supported other children that have experienced trauma. The lower school teacher traumatized my son all over again with her rigid and harsh teaching and stone cold personality. When viewing the school I asked the staff are the students always this quiet the seemed almost robotic. I later found out at parent orientation that they use ABA with all students. I told the principle that ABA would cause further trauma to my 8 year old. After seeing my sons behavior change back to the way it did after the traumatic experience. I spoke to the teacher several times with no change things actually got worse for my son. I had been communicating with my sons play therapist and she had suggested to ask how they had dealt with child’s trauma in the past and if they have had training in trauma enforced approach or if they were willing to do some training in trauma informed approach. They said they did not have those courses available in their area, area 10. I then asked if they could spend their own money “the large amount” of tuition I paid they should be able to provide staff with the appropriate training to help all students. They advised they would not get any additional training, but their ways were working just fine with my son. He was scared and cried not to go there.

Notre Dame is the best environment. They pray every day. They strive to be like Jesus. They participate in Holy Mass. They are encouraged to be good friends, good daughters, sons, students, good enployees. They are taught good sportsmanship in the many special Olympics sports offered from flag football to basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, track and bowling. They are encouraged to be the best they can be! We live Notre Dame School of Dallas!

There were several horrible experiences. Some departments are very toxic.

Feel so fortunate to have this school! Not only academics but also all the extracurriculars one would find in a “typical school” sports, dances, scouts, computer, drama... so grateful for support of business community that give the students jobs.

My son attends Notre Dame School and he loves it! When he attended public school, he didn't have friends, was made fun of by other students and the teachers did very little to teach him at all. Here, he has blossomed! He can do things I never thought he was capable of. He is telling time, reading, and has so much fun in Science class. He's also made many friends and comes home with a smile on his face instead of tears. This school is amazing! We love it.
