The reviews are correct about Asst. Principal and PE program. They are both very good and we have had a lot of success in those areas. The teachers we have had from 1st to 3rd were great! I would say the music program is a joke. I had to meet with Mrs. Taft last year after I found out from my daughter they did mostly dance party 4 on the wii for music time, and this was during 2nd semester! Very disappointing... My student is very intelligent and we have found that he/she should be much further ahead. In both grades 2 and 3 the teachers have let our child slide on absent assignments because they said he/she was so smart they didn't need it, even though I asked for it repeatedly. The gifted and talented program that our child participated in last year was a lot about astronomy and constellations, more of an extra curricular class rather than focusing on the advancement of the child. My last complaint is that my child has continually said he/she is bored and during P/T conferences all the teachers admit they know he/she is bored yet they do nothing about it. It's a great school to keep kids on pace, or maybe even catch them up. If your child is ahead they may not stay that way.

This school is better than Texline, Hartley, Dumas and Stratford. The asst. principal definitely makes for a good environment for both the kids and parents. She is one of the best that us as parents have come across in our experience over the last 13 yrs and 4 states. PE program is great. If your kids like to jumprope, try putting them into the new Jump & Jam program. It is for boys and girls. There is no need to put your kids into the private schools, this school is alot better.
