I am frustrated and I miss my sons old school so much . Me and my husband also dreaddddd picking up our son and dropping off in the morning . There’s not enough parking the way they have the public bus in the parking lot is ridiculous parents should able to park there to pick up children as there’s not parking there only homes all around and no parking signs in front of ppl home or ppl that live there tell you not to park everywhere ! and private buses in the front and then walk through to get your kid is a mission ... the hall way they have us going in through is so thin and crowded then on top of that Wednesday you have to walk even more ! All the way around to get your child ! I agree with “The staff makes a big deal out of the stupidest things and waste people's time.” They literally even threaten you to tell on you or call the cops for simply walking through the parking lot side near the fence when your child’s right there and there’s no one around like seriously I’m an adult and there’s nothing wrong with walking along the fence . Honestly they have to fix this problem it sucks it’s not good and you know what it’s not even safe anyone can just go into the school and there exposed to the whole entire school . I think they should work together and actually find a better solution because they can !!!!! I’ve seen it at palmetto Elementary they are amazing !!!! Even Gilbert porter is awesome they line up the kids and bring them to the front don’t make the parent busy a mission ! Gulfstream could also use the side gare\fence they can line up children 5 minutes before and let parent come in through the side field gate instead .... it’s safer bigger and easier for parents so they have a solution there just not using there heads ! I’m not happy and if they don’t fix this I kinda don’t want my son here so far I hate it . And you know what my sons also told me twice he wants to change schools that a red flag too in my opinion . Be more proactive and kind! I’m not happy they changed my sons teacher 3 times and like nothing ! It’s like so not ok !

I dread taking my daughter there in the mornings and picking her up in the afternoon. The staff makes a big deal out of the stupidest things and waste people's time. There was also an issue with the bell ringing before time of arrival 8:20 am. I went to the office and of course there was nothing they could do. God forbid them from actually working and looking into an issue in order to resolve it. I had to call dade county and have the issue fixed from the outside BECAUSE THOSE PEOPLE ARE NOT HELPFUL THEY ARE LAZY, ALL OF THEM. THEY WALK AROUND WITH THEIR COFFEE DOING NOTHING. I once went to the office and was standing there for no less than 10 minutes before somebody noticed me and asked me if I need help with anything. REALLY.

My daughter has been attending this school since 2nd grade and she will be graduating this year. Wonderful school. The teachers are outstanding and very caring. You can tell that they love what they do. My daughter has excelled in this school and she participates in several of the extra activities the school offers. I can't say anything negative about our experience at Gulfstream. Highly recommend!

Gulfstream has become the school to be in if your child lives in Cutler Bay. Besides the great letter rating, the school has established a great spirit of learning and fun. A new principle took over 3 years ago and you can really see the difference. This schools has a regular setting and a special needs setting. If you have a special needs child like I do, don't think and bring your child there.

Gulfstream Elementary is a phenomenal school for special needs!!!! Both of my kids entered this school with Developmental Delays and after 3 years in their special needs classes, they are now both GIFTED!!!! I can't believe how quickly my kids excelled. I am so impressed with how each and every child's individual needs are assessed and met COMPLETELY!!! All of the teachers here are just absolutely awesome and so dedicated to the children!!! They truly enjoy what they do and it shows. My kids, and really ALL the kids, really LOVE their teachers! Every morning I see kids running up to their teachers with smiles and hugs and so genuinely connected with them. It's just priceless and I've never seen anything like it! My words could never really explain how grateful I am for what this school has done for ME, MY FAMILY, and MY CHILDREN. Gulfstream will always have a place in my heart. This is THE BEST SCHOOL for any child, ESPECIALLY those with special needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The staff is not concerned with the children's well being and neither are the teachers!!! The teacher's do not respond in a timely manner and I have sent several notes to class with my child. My childs teacher's did not even know she was stabbed in the hand with a pencil, therefore I feel like she did not take the correct actions when my child was hurt in her classroom, the teacher didn't even write an incident report until I reported that my child was stabbed in the hand by another student. The main office staff are very unprofessional. Submitted by a parent

I am a student at Gulfstream and I love my school and my teachers. This is my second year at this school and even though I miss my old one, I like to come here. My teachers take their time with every student and they make learning fun. What a wonderful time I have.
