    My school has the best most caring principal in the entire school district. The teachers and staff are great and everyone really cares about the kids and what is best for the kids. The parent involvement is high. The kids get the love and support they need for a good foundation that will serve them well the rest of their lives.

    Crossnore Elementary School is an excellent school that is nestled in a rural area of Avery County. The current principal is highly dedicated to the academic success of her students. Moreover, she is a down to earth person, who genuinely cares about each and every student that enters her school. In fact, every morning she personally greets each student as their parents drop them off in the car rider line. The teachers are personable, highly qualified, and strive to ensure that each student is successful in their classroom by meeting the needs of the students through instructional modifications. Again, an excellent school within the Avery county community.
