CHS Alumni and currently enrolled student. Amazing state-of-the-art facilities. Teachers and staff that care!

I am a recent graduate of CHS. This school has more than its fair share of problems, as should be expected of rural schools in most parts of the country. Teen pregnancy rates are very high, as is the poverty level. However, Crossett is a town filled with good people. Fights are common at the junior high, but become significantly less common as one progresses into high school. Most of the students have grown up with each other and generally end up caring about one another. The school experience in Crossett has degraded somewhat as the town shrinks and gets older, but it is still a great high school. The teachers are very helpful if you behave in class. The school district places its best teachers at the high school. The sports teams have varying success, but literally anyone can make the team. There are no tryouts for any sport other than cheerleading. Anyone can receive a quality education at CHS if they make an effort. CHS can turn around its downward slide. It only needs parents, teachers, and students to believe in it.

I am a student at Crossett High School. I previously attended Hamburg Jr High School and notice a difference in characters and teaching methods. I overall enjoy the people and the social unity.
