Absolutely love this school! Nothing, but good things! My son loves it, and the teachers and staff all the way to the office care about everything about your child!! They want them to succeed and will help them above and beyond!

I don't have the words to express our gratitude to CES. Our two children have attended for the past 3 years. Being an active duty military family, adapting to new schools and environments is always a challenge for us. However, we were warmly welcomed into the school and our children are not only adapted, but thrive here. We have watched our oldest child go from struggling to even pass when we first arrived, to now, easily at or above grade level. Although security measures are now (understandably) a little tighter than we prefer - not allowing even parents in at some times - we have never had a problem getting into the school when needed. The staff is amazing - top notch. The principle is always willing to listen whenever a concern may arise. We have never once questioned the quality of the education. Communication between teachers and parents is excellent and although we are both very busy working parents who aren't always able to be as involved as we like, we always feel informed and connected. Kudos to the teachers and administration. We will be exceptionally sad to move on to the next duty station and can only pray to be lucky enough to find another school like this one!

This school only accepts you if you are from Corydon or Harrison County. Both of our children have attended thi school and neither one of them have ever gotten into any kind of trouble. However it has been hard for them and for us as we have seen how being an outsider is very hard while attending this school system. Im a 100% disabled veteran and my wife has been a teacher for over 12 years. We plan on moving very soon. The school (principal) does not allow parent involement and in fact will not allow anyone to attend school programs. they had a veterans day program that the children have been working on for weeks but did not allow veterans to attend. Why is the principal so against parent involvement? Im a tax paying citizen, why can I not be invilved with my childrens school?

My daughter loved this school and the teachers. They really put an effort into getting to know the children as individuals' and their personal needs for learning. My daughter excelled at this school and is sad to move on beyond elementary school.

Corydon Elementary School was an excellent place to begin my formal education. With a healthy attitude for the whole development of the child, CES offered Music, Art, Drama, creative writing, crafts and play weaved into our curriculum. I wouldn't trade my experience there for anything.
