The school is safe and secure in a quiet neighborhood. Buildings are older but they keep it up okay. The student teacher ratio is unheard of. My son had a class last year with only 14 other kids. My friend’s youngest daughter went through the special needs class and there were half a dozen at most with extra aides. Where do you ever see that at a public school? Every Friday they have Flag Deck in the morning with all the grades where awards and announcements are made. Lots of parent participation. Parent groups always having events and fundraisers ($$ too many) but I guess that’s why it’s a top school. Thru aren’t lacking in anything. Some of the 6th grade boys are a bit on the rambunctious side but that’s probably every school. Overall an excellent school. But my only suggestion is that if you need extra help with your kid, sit down with teacher/school early to get on a growth plan.

I went to Harbor View from 3rd to 6th grade and loved it! The teachers were all amazing and I made so many life long friends!

Beautiful school, located in beautiful Corona Del Mar. It’s unfortunate how this beautiful school is managed by such a poor performing principal. Students are not treated fairly. Academically this school is going down the drain student’s emotional well-being is poorly considered encouragement is received by principal’s favorites. Lunch table is managed poorly. So sad!!!

Worst school I've personally experienced. Starting from the lunch food, to the logic of the teachers and principal, this school is the cause of many people's depression. This school has deprived me as an 11 year old kid from sitting with friends at lunch, to skipping every fun activity like recess. All because of jokes me and my friends make together. Please avoid this school! FInd another school, you won't regret it.

I love this school. I went here from 4th grade through 6th grade. Harbor View felt like my second home. I love this school!
