Too much attitude, issues with teachers..Rude staff, minor issues made into a big deal. My child felt the teacher was a bully. Soloing him out on multiple occasions.

There are a few good teachers. The office staff however are rude, unhelpful, and lazy. Do not recommend. They do not communicate well either. The entire staff aren't even aware of half the things they should know according to district. I've had to call district, because the school told me to.... but district would tell me the school is whom I need to talk to. Waste so much time... do not recommend this school. One of the worst.

The principal is a bully herself she allows bullying to happen to children with disabilities. She even turns off the playground cameras when the kids are jumping a student with autism on the playground. This principle and the vice principle is a disgrace to society . They should have been fired a long time ago but they just don't get caught at what they do to children with disabilities because the child is not always able to communicate verbally. Children with disabilities need to be allowed to have video cameras on them.

Registration for 21-22 was disorganized and extremely long. There wasn’t anything in place for kindergarten besides a supply and uniform list. We were told to wait for a call, which I never received. A few of the kindergarten teachers have horrible attitudes and one made a rude comment to my child on the K-introduction day. I addressed this and was met with opposition. The incident was never addressed by admin, nor was I contacted. I still had not received any communication from a teacher to introduce themselves. Upon arriving on 1st full day, I stated my child’s in Kindergarten but hasn’t been assigned a teacher. With an attitude, “Yes, they have. You can sit down your bags and need to exit bc parents can’t be in the building due to Covid-19.” This isn’t my 1st rodeo. But, it will be my last with Chimneyrock. It’s a negative environment, unprofessional and disorganized. We were so excited, but this experience has drained us. We’ll be transferring to another school ASAP. I have never been greeted, received good customer service, care nor concern since I reported the incident; only backlash and disrespect.

So far it has been awful I’m constantly getting notes about my child’s performance but you can’t work with any of the staff to get your kids the help they need. They claim they encourage parents to participate but when they have a parent that’s willing they practically leave everything up to you. Most of us aren’t teachers so we need advice on how to help our kids!

Chimneyrock teachers go above and beyond for their students. Many of them spend their own money on supplies for their students. Behavior issues are handled quickly and fairly. I love this school.

My son has special needs that sometimes result in behavior problems. He can be easily handled with the right approach. Due to my husbands job we move often and have lived in many different states. Chimneyrock Elementary was horrible. This was the second worst school we have dealt with. If you have a child with special needs do not send them here.
