We love MWE! My three kids love going to this school! We are sad to leave due to a military move. The staff and teachers are so welcoming and sweet and I love how they communicate with you when needed. My kids have learned so much at this school. I love that my kids do not have homework, they have more time to play after school and are able to participate in sports. The teachers my kids have had over the years are all wonderful and always kind to my kids. We have had nothing but positive experiences in this school. If you are looking for a good school to put your child in I highly recommend this school.

I would rate it at a zero, except that my daughter has learned new things. I don't believe it's how they're teaching because she's learned at other schools as well. We are really disappointed with how this year has gone. Speaking with other parents, they have the same feelings about this year, but the administration is unfortunately so blind to the concerns and so unwilling to waiver in their complacency to be inept that we won't be seeing changes anytime soon.

Though my son is only in kindergarten, we’ve had a great experience so far! We solely chose to live near this school because of how great it is!

My son attended Martin Walker for almost three school years and he was sad to go. Office staff were always courteous and the Teachers were all phenomenal.

I have had my children enrolled in this school since I moved to Copperas Cove in 1993. I have also had the privilege of being a PTA President for one of those years. Thanks to the hard work of the teachers and staff of M.W.E. my daughter is now a registered nurse in a major hospital on Houston, TX. Without their commitment to excellence in education she would not have gotten the solid foundation she needed to begin her life and career as a nurse and as a responsible member of this community. I have seen these professionals work their magic with our kids even while suffering through budget and personnel cuts and teaching with shortages in materials and resources. These educators like others in many communities have bought supplies using their personal funds in an effort to maintain the highest standards which have earned their program state and national recognition for excellence in education. My son will be moving on to junior high next fall and I am certain that that he takes the confidence and knowledge with him to succeed not only in his continuing education but in life as well. Principal Amanda Crawley and her staff have my respect and appreciation for how they have educated our kids to be the best that they can be. YOU should be so lucky with your own children.

This school has always been a great school with great teachers. The sad part is within the administration dept. parents don't feel welcomed any more. They have been shut out by a principal that has no people skills let alone skills with children. I have never seen her with the children on a positive light. She has her little click of people that she uses that if your not part if then you not welcome. She's furthering her on agenda to make her resume better. It's time for parents to stand together and let people know they work for us and our children and not the other way around. If not it will eventually be to late to do anything. We need an dmistration team thats as strong as our teachers so that our children have the best available to them.

Very frustrated. This is my daughter's second year. I loved it last year. This year it's a business. They only care about money. My daughter has been so sick because they would rather sick teachers and students. Very annoyed that it has become about money and not the welfare of the children.

Incredible school! The teachers and staff are caring and very supportive. I feel confident in knowing when I send my chidlren to school they are in a comfortable, positive, safe environment. Martin Walker is a school which other Elementary schools look to for academic success, by modeling some of their unique programs. You will not be disappointed with your choice to send your children to Martin Walker!

Great! My son has been to three schools in Copperas Cove, one on Fort Hood, Two in Garland, Texas, and this is the ONLY school in 4 years that he ENJOYS. He comes home everyday happy, seems well adjusted and is NOT whiny and complaining everyday. Plus, the teaches there do not yell, scream, berate children, or throw there desk across the room. Not to mention, at lunch there are no signs or cones tell them to hold there voices down. The kids are allowed to talk as much and as often as they would like and surprisingly this is the ONLY cafeteria I have been inside in the last 4 years that was actually calm and fairly quiet. Respectful, our kids are NOT animals and should NOT be treated as SUCH!

Martin Walker Elementary is absolutely amazing. The staff is out of this world. I won't go into detail but I will say that any one group that suffered as many unfourtunate personal situations as this group did last year and were able to remain kind, courteous, and STILL put all of the children first, just absolutely amazing. This bunch of ladies and gentleman represent Copperas Cove well. I never thought I would say that I felt a part of this community, but AMAZING is ALL that I can say. The quality of education that my child recieved here in 1st grade is unprecedented, to say the least. Others have named names, but if I do so the list will not stop, from the secretaries, to the registrars to the staff...everyone! Top notch performers, and I think the principal did everything to ensure that the staff conveyed this. This is definitely my family. If you go here...get involved, they appreciate it and it shows! Thank you Martin Walker family! I keep wanting to name names but honestly all of these ladies and gentlemen are phenomenal! Katherine said it! It is true!

I can't say enough how much i love this school. i drive 20 minutes to take my daughter there and it is well worth it. My daughters teachers Ms. Sides and Ms. Johns are always kind, respectful, friendly and have a great relationship with my daughter and i. the first day of school i fell in love when every single staff member said 'good morning' to my daughter and i with a smile on their faces :)

They have an amazing Pre-K Program!. I have 3 children in 3 different Pre-K Classes and each teacher tends to their own indiviual needs. Everyone from the front office down to the Janitor and Lunch Ladies are guinely compasionate, caring adults. I have spent time with their volunteer program, well organized and they will use all the help they can get to benefit children of ALL ages.
