A true gem in NE Ohio. We are so happy with the district and it’s commitment to students and families. In the ongoing hiring process that is education many great additions have been brought in such as new educators and dean of students. We couldn’t be more happy with the quality of education, administration and commitment to growth. Also happy to see employees leaving some of their stagnant education systems and small town attitudes behind (ie Wooster). Copley is the place to be in academics, sports and life. Thank you Copley!

I am basing my experience with CHS from when my sons attended mid to late 2000's. Copley High School was absolutely wonderful then. Administration was serious about keeping it that way. I do believe that PARENTS have a responsibility to prepare their children to be respectful and attentive when at school. It starts at HOME! Teachers are not responsible for students' attitudes and behavior. Again, this begins at HOME. Teachers are NOT responsible for raising their students...they are there to teach academics and model respect. Parents, I would suggest you teach your children to respect and honor the education system. It's not okay to fight. It's not okay to disrespect teachers. It's not okay to dress inappropriately for school. But again, these are things a parent/guardian should be teaching their children. This is NOT a school's responsibility. It's frustrating for teachers to have to PARENT students and teach them academics at the same time. Parenting begins at HOME. Parents...please teach your children to respect the education process. PARENTS...Teach your children (before they leave the house), to listen and respect their teachers. PARENTS...Teach your children how important it is to have self-respect. PARENTS...Teach your children to be kind to fellow students and staff. PARENTS...Teach your children to listen well. PARENTS...Teach your children the importance of doing their homework. PARENTS...Teach your children to care about themselves. PARENTS...Teach your children to love themselves. PARENTS...Teach your children to speak respectfully (Not cursing and saying hateful things) to their teachers and fellow students. PARENTS...Teach your children to not fight one another. PARENTS...Teach your children to have a GREAT attitude and BEHAVE well. PARENTS...Teach your children to respect the education process...and then teach it again.Again, teachers are not responsible for raising your children...you are. As a parent, you should NEVER expect a school to be responsible for raising your sons and daughters...that is YOUR responsibility. NO EXCUSES!!!! And when you have raised them well, schools will be well.

The school and staff have been amazing to work with. My son has autism and they work very hard to support him with his individual needs while promoting integration with the general education students.

Copley is an excellent high school. It has a lot of academics, sports, and extra curricular activities. It is amazing academically and has a very diverse social scene. You will either hate this school or love this school I don't think there's a happy medium but, most students do well at the school. The only thing which isn't necessarily a problem is the social scene. There's a lot of drama at the school. Of course that comes with typical high school but, there's a surplus here like, what brand of clothes you wear, fights from time to time, parties etc. things like that depending on who you hang around but academically and career wise this schools A1.

Copley High is a good school. The advanced classes are fast-paced and a great challenge to those who wish to achieve higher goals. For those who prefer classes with lesser expectations, they still provide offer classes that are based on the scholarly ambition of learning what there is to know. While the band is alright, the choir is very well put together with an excellent teacher. The administration is very supportive of the arts and the music program and athletically, the school is doing well. While the fighting could be lessened, it can't always be helped. However, other than that, Copley is worth taking a look at.

The main theme that is agreed upon by all lately, is that copley high school is going downhill. As someone else mentioned, students from Akron are moving into the school system and behaviour has been ridiculous. The administration is fearful of being categorized as "racist" so they crack down on much smaller problems, which doesnt solve anything. The students loathe the administration, the teachers are frustrated, and everything is completely out of control. For all of you considering Copley (and have a choice) GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!
