I love this school. Located in North Whitehall, it is definitely a school where the kids come from mostly a 2 parent middle class household and the parents are very involved, so the kids are well rounded and polite, good kids. The principal is wonderful and personable and the staff are superb. I have yet to meet a teacher or staff member I didn’t like. The school counselor is absolutely amazing and knows each kid by name so I know my kids are in good hands when I drop them off. The additional support my kids receive is wonderful and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the enthusiastic communication I receive from the school when I reach out with questions or concerns. I love the small feel of the school and how my child is not another number. The class sizes are manageable and most importantly, my kids feel heard and respected and love the school and their friends. I cannot say enough good things about Ironton. It will be hard to top when the kids go off to middle school.

Ironton reminds me of my elementary school, a "country" school where most of the families are middle class, hard working people. Not rich, not poor, in the middle. The faculty and staff are great and there is a real community supporting the school. We have two more years. The principal, Mrs Smith,is retiring this year. It will be very difficult to replace her, hopefully they can find someone as caring and as dedicated.

I loved going here! It's a gorgeous school where learning is a number one priority. A lovely location as well. Overall, a fantastic school that is part of a very large, successful school district!

Excellent teachers, excellent principal!! My children attended Ironton many years back and I attribute their success to the base education they received at Ironton. Those are the most important years.
