It’s hilarious that most the comments here saying “how terrible” this school is have so many grammar mistakes. But sure, it’s the school to blame. Is this school perfect? No. But most of the staff care about the kids, they teach the ones who are receptive being taught, and overall it still one of the better schools in the JISD. The complaints here are based on parents who expect a school to cater to themselves and their kids. I can guarantee that if they tried one of the other elementary schools within the district they’d be begging to go back to Elolf.

Elof is the worst school ever. My daughter had no choice but to move here to Convers. My 2 granddaughters got the worst education ever at Elolf when they attended the school. The oldest was a straight A student, but even though the school knew this and we requested for her to tested and to be given more advanced materials they had refused to do so. My GD started coming home with way lower grades. She said it was boring being she knows it all. After talking to the school we found they put her with other kids who spoke broken English and needed extra help with everything. We asked why she wasn't given advanced materials they said because she knows everything we thought it would help the others with her being there. My middle GD was having learning issue and failed kindergarten. She still was having problems but did pass the 2nd time. My daughter was finally able to get them out of Elolf and into a new public school they built in Converse called IDEA were you had to register and wait for an opening. My oldest is now getting an advance education & they are working with her on how to prepare for college, she is in the 7th grade. My middle GD was put in the 1st grade with special group for those that needed help and after she ended the 2nd grade she was awarded for being the top student. DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILDREN IN ELOLF ELEMENTARY.

It's a decent school. Its switch to STEM is definitely an improvement. The reason for the low ranking is because people think their "entitlement" means that their child should be held on a pedestal. There are so many worse schools in the area. Elolf seems like the one school in the area where they actually try and educate kids.

My son has been going to this school a year and s half. We have dealt with unintelligent teachers, bullying, and racism. The school overall isn't s great school or makes you feel safe leaving your child there. My son will not be attending this school next year!

My kids r always getting bullied and when they stick up for themselves it's a problem they get in trouble and the person who's doing the bullying gets away the teachers act like they don't want to be there and they label kids like they have their favorites rasicim is at this school as well I will be moving my kids next year. My kids went from enjoying and wanting to go to school to now hating and not wanting to go.

I have mixed feelings on this school. I do love my sons kimdergarten teacher, but Im not so sure I like the way the school functions. First off, the schools environment for the students look so stressful! I have seen and heard a lot of teachers yelling loudly at students on a daily bases. The teachers all seem stressed out as if they dont like the job that they went to school for. I have had issues with my son due to another "older" student bullying him. The school is set up where older kids are on one side and younger in the other. I have seen many older kids walking the halls and using the younger kids bathroom even though I was informed they aren't allowed there. I have talked with other parents and they agree about the environment and lack of supervision. My son will most likely not be attending that school next year.

This is my sons second year at Elorf. He really enjoys attending and I enjoy interacting with the staff. The curriculum is good and the student teacher ratio is good as well.
