This school i do not recommend. Most specially the Special Ed faculty and the principal in Kindergarten. The special ed faculty do not seemed to perform thorough eval although they said they did . but they don't. while the principal got their back on this. Shame! The level of the education is low to average. They do not seemed to aim high for the students. This is not an elementary school you would like to begin your child.

We have been at the school for a year and a half. Luckily, we are moving. We have yet to actually met the principal even though there have been several opportunities. She doesn't even know my kid's names. We came from a school where we saw the principal every morning and my kids loved him. The teachers can't control their classrooms. They yell at the class to gain control. Teachers have been very unprofessional in the way they conduct their classrooms. The children with their classes have been shamed for not doing as well as the teacher would like on pre-STAAR tests. The teachers (more than one) shared test scores and personal information with the entire class. We have had issues with bullying and when I spoke to the Assistant Principal she pulled my child out in front of everyone and asked if there was a problem making him look like a tattler. The website is a joke. They updated before school started and never touched it again. Parents who want to help are discouraged. The teachers don't know how to use them when they are there. There are no after school extra activities...with these kids I wouldn't want to be there any longer than I had to too though either. There are a few good people at the school who really care about the kids, but when there isn't support across the board I am sure it's exhausting. I would never have put my children at this school had I had better information. I hope this helps someone else.

I love San Jacinto Elementary! Mrs. O'Neil, the principal, runs a great school along with Asst. Principal Mrs. Moran. The Counselor Mrs. Cruz is the BEST counselor, she really cares about the kids and works hard to make sure each child is taken care of. The teachers are the best, they put in alot of extra hours to provide a great education for our children.
