This school was, I thought, a caring Christian school. It is why my children were enrolled there initially. How ironic that they do not practice what they preach! They punish students for the things they do themselves REGULARLY. Bullying is left unchecked for "certain" students (see: financially, locally or politically connected). The rest of the mass of students are held to another standard completely. My child has never been the same since going to that school. The treatment my child received at the hands of both students and administrators has kept an arms length pattern of behavior ever since when meeting new people in the area. Trust has been broken with the local community in the area in my child's mind, and finding the ability to have a normal school experience has been elusive ever since. The level of sadness and depression that has taken place in my child since the experience at this school has been nothing short of catastrophic. I DO NOT recommend this school unless you like hypocritical Pharisees teaching your child.

While no school is perfect, this school comes quite close. I have seen some of the more negative reviews, and that is regretful. However, I know that the leadership, staff, teachers, and parents desire this school to be an educationally-challenging environment that has as little bullying as possible. I have personally seen teachers going WAY out of their way to support students, both educationally and emotionally. The theme of "Treat others the way that you want them to treat you," is strongly followed which makes for an AWESOME environment. My only complaints would be that there is not a strong special education system and the initial period of making friends can take some time. Students with special needs might want to look elsewhere, and finding those particular, new best friends may require some patience. Humans are humans and there will always be some problems and challenges, but it is an INCREDIBLE school that I am willing to live very frugally to be able to pay the fees to allow my children the opportunity to go there.

Could not be more thankful than to have selected this school. We are at the Spring Hill satellite elementary campus and it is awesome. Going to CA was the best decision for our child's education and nurturing.

Excellent. My kids love it. I think it's an ideal environment for learning, with lots of opportunities, appropriately challenging academically, and a strong spiritual emphasis. I love that my kids can be around Christian teachers and other students with similar values.

The education is good. The teachers and staff/faculty are super nice and are good at teaching for the most part, but my only issue is OTHER PEOPLE. There are some people that go there who shouldn't because they are mean to people constantly. I've reported multiple people, including myself for being picked on and bullied. It isn't something to be taken lightly anymore considering IT DOESNT STOP. These people have zero respect for rules and respectful/kind behavior towards other people. They do not effectively handle bullying there (despite all the anti-bully program efforts) it still happens. CA needs major improvement in that area and a new assistant principle for effectively dealing with mean people. If I'm going to be honest, my public school experience with people was WAY better considering a lot more people weren't selfish.

As a parent, I am very happy with CA... I do detect a slight variance sometimes in the discipline handed out that seems to be relationship based... But it has not impacted my child's life in a negative way - I just used it as a teaching moment to explain that life isn't always fair. The school has an average ACT score of 31, and that speaks volumes when compared to the area...

My experience at this school is decent. The education is excellent, and the teachers are very good at what they do. There are a variety of extracurricular activities to participate in. However, it is not very diverse (I am sometimes slightly teased), and the disciplinary system is somewhat weak. Also, some students are slightly small-minded.

Columbia Academy is a wonderful learning place that we have chosen to send our child!! Our child can grow in spirit as well as academically. They teach appropriate level Bible stories and how the Bible times reflected on history and science. They teach how wonderful God has created themselves as individuals! Our child has had a great childhood at Columbia Academy. They allow for them to be children!!, and not have the stress of learning. They believe in family time and they send an appropriate amount of homework each week. We have been at CA for 3 years going on our 4th. It has been a wonderful investment to us, on all levels. They trully love our child and care for their eternal well being. We have been Blessed to be apart of this wonderful family at Columbia Academy!

Excellent school, excellent teachers, excellent staff, excellent faculty. We are so thrilled our children are able to attend such a wonderful school, whith parents and teachers and administration that truly love and care for not only their education, but their well being, as well. We feel grateful to have such a fine school in our area, and know, as we place our children in their hands, that, not only are their minds are guided, but their hearts, as well. Private school education can be a sacrifice, but well worth the investment. We know that our children are being taught courage, honor, respect and leadership skills. We are proud to be parents of Columbia Academy students. We know you will be, as well.

I cannot be happier with CA. The teachers are caring, compassionate, understanding, and with that comes strict discipline and academics. Our kids LOVE to go to school. Yes, they do have homework and it's not always done in 30 minutes, but they are learning how to study. I have kids in elementary and high school, and in both schools, the teachers are great Christian examples to the students.
