Both of my children attended all four years Spring Valley. The opportunities are endless! They can choose from basic CP classes to a wide array of AP courses depending on what best suits their needs. The teachers are accommodating, kind, and willing to work with all students, as they genuinely care about the students they teach. The principal goes above and beyond what is required for parents and students when an issue or need arises. There are a variety of clubs and athletics for anyone looking to be involved. Tutoring is available for all students if ever needed. I truly believe if your child is not successful at Spring Valley, it's due to a lack of initiative on the students part. Everything they need for success is at their fingertips, they just have to take the initiative to better themselves. I highly recommend Spring Valley and am grateful for the education they provided to my now young adults.

Wish I could rate it lower. I have never seen a dress code so outdated and borderline sexist. If a girl cannot wear dress code approved shorts, then what's the point? No wonder people have complained about the way these students get treated. You WILL be changing the dress code before this becomes a media frenzy.

Horrible. Doesn’t seem like a good school at all.

This school is not so good. Not good.

First of all, some teachers abuse the power of giving hours here. Most teachers don't give a warning; they just give hours on the spot. That won't teach students how to behave if they don't let the student have a chance to fix the problem. They also are super strict with the dress code. Some students at the school can be disrespectful and rude and the staff and teachers know how to handle it before it gets out of hand. But overall the teachers are friendly and are willing to help you. It's not the teachers making it a bad learning environment, it's mainly the students and their behavior.

We are a military family that moves every one to three years. Two of my children graduated from here, and it's been the best high school in all areas of any they attended. The college and career office is beneficial like nothing I've seen. The facilities are top notch. The teachers always extended themselves to help our kids. I wish my third child could attend.

My child attends this school and I have found them to be fair with all students contrary to what some may think. The principal is an excellent person that has always answered any questions I ask.

As a former student who attended Spring Valley for 2 years, has been to 5 high schools (due to being a military dependent) and who has friends in other schools and districts around South Carolina, I can say that this school truly is one of the best schools in the state if not the best. Greats students, great staff, excellent academics, and wonderful sports programs.

Best school in the state as far as I am concerned. My last two children graduated from SV and I could not be more pleased with their education.

The behavior of the Spring Valley parents was appaling during the recent High School rezoning during which they hijacked the process and secured an unequal advantage for themselves at the expense of others.

Spring Valley is a place that I will fondly remember for the rest of my life. The teachers and staff are incredible people and I could not have been more prepared for college or for adulthood. Being a student at SVHS taught me how to be responsible for myself and my actions, how to work hard and how to earn success. In comparison to Spring Valley, looking at the educations that teenagers I know are receiving from other schools in the area is appalling. SVHS is one of the best educations any child can get anywhere in the country.

There is a reason why everyone wants to send their children to Spring Valley. High academic standards, excellent teachers, great principal, involved parents, and happy and productive students.
