My son attended school here from Kindergarten to the beginning of his 1st Grade studies and was also accommodated by the special education department for his autism. We had a good experience and my son enjoyed his time attending Bricker Elementary School. His teachers were very professional, nice, understanding of his disabilities and were always able to help my son with what he needed. The office staff were also very helpful and I've never had a bad experience with them.

I went here from k-5th and no one taught me to read. I ended up going to middle school with no knowledge of reading or spelling and had to learn at sylvan learning center.

I feel sorry for the teachers. The principals are useless. This would be a good school if it weren't for these out of touch hags. The discrimination is so obvious.

Bricker is a school that has been going though a lot of problems. My child has been going since kindergarten in 09 . She has had horrible challenges along the way. Kindergarten: was told she had to know a sheet of things, was changed around a lot. 1st: Was often accused and yelled at by one of the teachers. Was not made aware there was ANY problem till the end of 3rd Q. Was told it was all my child s fault because she did everything on purpose. I told them it was all our faults and WE failed my child! 2nd: new teachers to the system that tried to help a lot! Also helped find out my child has a ADHD problem. 3rd: New teachers again. Was finally able to get the extra help for my child, but help was VERY limited due to time and resources. 4th: Seems to have jumped in curriculum in a large way. My child is very lost and falling further. Reading: begin-2nd grade level, Math: mid-3rd grade level (though in 3rd grade she got B+ s) Writing: begin-2nd level. My child also gets bullied, and the only thing that is done is the accused child gets talked to then sent back to class. It hurts me to say it but I have lost faith and I am moving my child to another school.

My daughter went to Briker in 2010 for kinder she had a substitute teacher pretty often. I noticed my daughter was not making much progress. Every parent teacher conference i went to they gave me a paper that said all the things she should know. They expected me to teach her all this myself and send her to school already knowing it all. She obviously was not learning much anything in class. The end of school year approached and her teacher told me that they wanted to keep her in kinder again. I refused because i know that my daughter is a smart girl and when i sat down with her to teach her anything she would learn it so quickly so it did not seem right to me that this was happening. I moved her to another school for 1st grade and she is doing great, she was at the top of her class and received numerous award and recognitions through out the school year. I could not be happier as a mother and i am so proud of my lithe girl. She is out for the summer now and looking forward to another grade year as she goes on to 2nd grade.

My daughter started going to bricker in 2010 she was in kindergarden MRS.W class 1/2 way through the school year they replaced her why i dont know my little girl learned so much my wife and i were shocked she was a great person and teacher to have..my daughter loved school and the staff. My daughter got picked on and i told MR.KNIGHT the principle and he put a stop to it immediately.Since then almost all the teachers have moved to a different schools SO SAD because we can see the school going down hill with the new staff. My family is highly involved in school activities fundraisers-- gamenite ETC. to earn money for the school but my daughter had 3 field trips in kindergarden and none in 1st or 2nd grade the school is all about $ and being college bound but what happens when you take away fun stuff like fieldtrips, the kids are not gonna want to go to school everyday.bad idea.I know HS2 gets funding as well so i will check with them to see if the schools are suppose to invest that into fun activities for the kids...WE NEED THE OLD BRICKER BACK or atleast the old staff mrs bishop--mrs.w--mrs trainer--mr knight--mr seagle--mrs paula 20+yrs at the school and she left, somethings wrong

My daughter attended kindergarten last year at Bricker Elementary. She came home, excited about her day. Her only complaint was that she was very bored in class, because her teacher was always helping the "other" students. Communication with school-related events was very last minute.

This school has done much to help improve both of my sons grades and care enough to recommend extra help when needed. This year my 4th grade son made the honor roll and he is so excited about learning. My other son still needs a little bit more improvement but their extra recommendation for assistance will help him advance to the 6th grade. I believe the teachers ROCK!!!
