We found the principle to be abusive, ignorant of children with disabilities, and retaliatory toward anyone who dared to say something. Absolutely no what Catholicism stands for.

Outstanding. I have 2 grands there..I just wish that the bar were raised and that straight A's was a little more difficult to achieve.

This school needs a new principle. He has been there to long. He is only nice if you agree with him. If you are an important person and your child bullies other children it is just swept under the rug. We have lost many families due to him. For the most part this is a nice school and could be a lot better. We have some good teachers. The only thing better about this school over public is the children have religion. We have friends that left and went to public school and were behind and had to catch up. Every body has different experiences and just because some of you have not had things go wrong does not make others opinions wrong. It would be nice if we could say our opinions with out back lash of other people. I'm sorry but there is some thing wrong when the entire 6th grade has decided to leave. Some thing stinks!!

We love Our Saviour Catholic School. It is sad to see the reviews submitted by a group of disgruntled parents. My kids came from the public school system and they hated going to school. They have done nothing but flourish and grow in a warm loving environment here at OSCS. I can't say enough wonderful things about the school and it's excellent teachers.

I just read all of the reviews and what I've concluded from some of the negative comments is, a small group of self important parents are upset they no longer can dictate school policy. They don't like the fact that someone took over the school and brought professionalism, logic, and a 21st Century approach to running a highly rated private school. Mr. Hitchcock is a fair, professional, straight forward administrator who does care deeply about the children, staff, and yes, the parents. What he doesn't do is drama or bow to the self indulgent whims of a few parents. Good luck with that philosophy in real life! Now, if you want to send your child to a fantastic school where they will be academically challenged in a warm, loving environment filled with awesome, highly qualified teachers and dedicated parents who are deeply involved in the school, then OSCS is going to be an awesome fit for your child! The bottom line is an overwhelming majority of parents feel blessed to send their child/children to an institution deeply committed to providing an excellent education and an overall enrichment of the children's lives. FABULOUS SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!

This is our last year!! We are thankful that this school was a choice that our child needed but now it is time to move on. This school was compassionate and the parents were involved but that does not seem to encouraged by the principle. Things have changed due to the principle and we no longer feel that this is the best school to educate our child and this is so sad, because we felt why would you not have your at oscs. This principle needs to go!!

Contraire'; but please allow the 'bash' writer to say "I'm sorry". I am defending of a XMas season program, that includes diverse leadership. I'm not, the folks that have poor attendance at XMas show or weekly masses, left previous years or never attend(ed) a PTO meeting. Balance that, in tune with taking an honest poll of kids experiences , to affirm their likes or dislikes of this school and separately, the principle.. Bring the opinion aloud to the PTO meeting please, I beg you; and if u are slighted, not heard fairly, I may well join you in the dislikes. But, my examples are graded too. I have been heard and responded to in professional ways and my child was bullied, so don't you tell me! I channeled my needs in groups including assistants and at parent groups, not in GOD forbidden gossip to a few of a parents- friends; nor this website. That won't work. The worst thing this site is going to do is slam a principle; like you all say, at that leadership; the best it can do is-continue the dialog -defend like 'myself', if attacked. This site will help you if you attend.

OSS delivers an excellent education to the children. My grandchildren read well above their grade level. The teachers and staff are very friendly and supportive. Love the school!

My kids attended public school before we moved them to OSCS. While they had great teachers at the schools they attended they always struggled, felt discouraged and hated school. The school system wasted time with endless unproductive meetings and paperwork while we watched our kids hurt, fall behind, and loose their confidence. Our experience at OSCS sharply contrasts with our public school experience. . We find the staff to be professional, skilled and dedicated. They never give up. Mr. Hitchcock is an excellent administrator. He is receptive to parents and he is kind. The two years that our kids have been at OSCS have been a blessing to our family. Our children are getting the support they need when they need it. They are different kids today because of the loving learning environment that we have only found at OSCS. They have regained their confidence and are at or above grade level in every subject. We are proud to have our children here.

My children attend OSCS and we are very pleased with both the teachers and the principal. My children are in a safe, compassionate environment that nurtures them both academically and as individuals. My family is very happy with the principal, Mr. Hitchcock. I am sorry he has been given such negative comments on this site as he has been working hard towards improving our school. We are a great family at OSCS! I love having my children (myself too) around positive, well-grounded people so hopefully with some of the negativity leaving we can fill that with positives. I highly recommend this school!

Great school being run into the ground faster than a freight train! The amazing staff and children are suffering due to the new principles tactics. The diocese simply advises parents to remove their children if they are unhappy. Parents are then bullied by the principle stating he will contact other schools to keep them from being enrolled. Lack of safety is the main issue. Working parents are not aware and parents on property want to protect the school as a whole so they do not speak up. These issues are growing and current families are leaving rapidly even to the extent of homeschooling. Multiple incidents have occurred on the playground ending with children requiring medical attention that could have been avoided with proper staffing. There are no reported incidents in the cafeteria but with only untrained volunteers to assist the children it is only a matter of time. There is a much more serious issue but out of concern for the children I do not want to expose the open threat. The bottom line is that the principle is a bully who discriminates against disabled children seeing them only as a liability and is more concerned about financial gain than the safety of the children.

We are so happy with Our Saviour's School! Our family is from a wealthy section of the North, the education that our children are receiving from this amazing and warm institution would have cost us upwards of $20,000 per student. My children are happy, confident and challenged on a daily basis. The best part of my day is joining my children at flagpole, it gives them the opportunity to see my commitment to them and me another chance to wish them well on their day. Every teacher knows every student's name, every child from each class has an opportunity to participate in sports and music lessons. The teachers are in constant contact with me about my children; they are willing to give advice, extra work over breaks and provide educational resources when needed. We will have three children at Our Saviour's next school year and are excited to continue to be apart of such a special place. Mr. Hitchcock has innovative ideas and is trying to move the school into the 21st century with a well functioning webpage, tuition online, facebook page and more. Hopefully the negative parents have children that are on their way to graduation so we can enjoy the blessing that is OSCS!!

Very sad to say we will not be returning next year :-( We can not tolerate the new principle any more. We have lost many students due to him. Yes we have gained some but we are loosing our family. This school has become our family. He is only maintaining and we are not growing. You can try our school for free so why not. So we are loosing paying family's for free students. Many of our students are not coming back. The last day of school will be like a divorce. Our principle only cares about himself. He needs to go so the school can stay open. Our school was a compassionate loving place until he took the job. We have some great teachers. Our middle school teachers are wonderful and the office staff Amy and Judy are really the back bone of the school. Amy and Judy is has been our pleasure to have you in our children's lives and will miss you very much. We have been at oss for many years and this one the hardest decision our family has had to make. The diocese needs to put a new leader at oss.

This principal is awful and he needs to go! The things he has implemented this year have been to his benefit and for no other reason. Show me how any of this makes the teachers or students any better. There is no way we will return next year if he does! If he really cared about the school he would be trying to retain paying parents! and he would be in the classrooms to bring the teachers up to speed with their teaching. No new technology to keep up with the times. The teachers have no new innovative ways to reach the children and raise the bar. This school falls short for us. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 3.

We have been at Our Saviour's for many years. We love the school and the teachers. They have been wonderful!! Our child loves school, loves homework and has excelled in so many ways! However, with the diocese choosing to follow the common core, it now appears no reason to stay. The new principal has some good ideas, but his presentation and overall demeanor leaves a lot to be desired. Common core and the principal need to go. Sadly, we will not be returning next year.

Our Saviour is a wonderful school community. My children are challenged academically and are treated with a caring and nurturing attitude. The administration is wonderful. There is a great deal of professionalism that accompanies the compassion for children. My kids have the opportunity to have free violin lessons, a wide variety of athletic sports and extra curricular activities. They are truly educating the whole child. If you are looking for a strong academic setting that provides your child with a variety of experiences with strong moral values... you have found a home.

OSCS is the best Brevard County offers. We have been involved with the school for almost 5 years. The academics surpasses the top schools in the area, to include Freedom 7. The compassion, caring staff assures me daily that my children are safe. My daughter thrives in the class room and in sports. She's smart and Happy!! Both because of the family at Our Saviour Catholic School. In our years, there have been some changes and adjustments, but with the team at OSCS, Mrs. Bailey, Mrs. Gleason, Amy at the front desk, PTO Pres. Pat, I am certain, our growing pains, will turn to joy. This school has what it takes, tenacity, and pride, the Saint Pride.

We have been at OSS for a long time and we were happy in the past. We have seen principals come and go. He is by far the worst one we have ever had. We have a great preschool program and upper grade teachers. He has no compassion and that is what he calls our school. We have made wonderful friends and some or our teachers are why we have stayed but he is making it unbearable to stay. He has changed the rules that you cant check your kid out at 2:30 but only for doctor visit or if it is urgent. If you have a change in plans to pick your kid you have to send in a note in the am. NO PHONE CALLS will be alloyed. Life happens sometimes and plans have to be changed. He is not the parent of my kid. I am. This is a VIOLATION OF MY RIGHTS. Many families have stated they are not coming back next year. We have already lost many students. I will no longer tell people to bring their kids to OSS. It is so sad that one person can ruin things for every one. Go check out Divine Mercy. There is a reason why they are doing so well. We have all ready lost a family to them and more to come next year. Our school could be great again with a new leader. We are praying that this happens.

All three of my children have attended Our Saviour's School. The two older children graduated and did very well in high school. They came out of Our Saviours with high test scores, strong athletic ability and an impressive sense of respect, community, and faith. The school has athletics as young as 3rd grade. Everything from football to basketball, soccer, track, cross country and volleyball. Academics are great and our kids excel on FCAT, ACT, and SAT tests. Teachers and parents gather together each morning. The classes are small and the teachers interact with each parent one on one. I love my Catholic School.
