The one good thing about this school is that they follow my kids accommodations. That being said, this school does a terrible job dealing with bullying. They blame the victims and their strategies end up making them an even bigger targets. Sadly, they act ignorant to any incidents that occur in the classroom or at recess.

Highly recommend this school. We transferred from another local elementary as I felt my children's needs weren't being met. I have two children in elementary. One receives special accommodations and one does not. Zia has exceeded my expectations and it's been an amazing experience for the whole family.

My daughter attended here K-4th and she loved every minute of it. She had great teachers and everyone seemed to care about making the place better. We had to move for the military and I can tell you we miss that school now. I encourage parents to volunteer even just staying a little late for their once a quarter meetings. If so you would see how much the principle and staff all want to make it a success.

This school is the BEST! there are so many programs to keep the parrents informed. The teachers really push the kids to do better. I have 3 kids there and 2 of them are in the Gifted and tallented. That sure was not my doing. My 3 child has some learning issues and every year we think we should hold her back but the teachers really work with us after hours to keep her going. A++++++++++

Zia is a very academic school. My child has attended 1st grade there, and she has been allowed to really strive- especially with reading. Zia has high expectations, and rules are enforced. They encourage children to be independent and responsible. It is commonplace to see children opening doors for others, and other such acts, as personal responsibility and manners are enforced. Zia is a tough school, and they make the kids work hard, but it is in order to bring great results.
