Love School 16! From what I understand the school has gone through changes over the years but positive ones. Teacher's are kind and helpful and communicate well with parents. The school's HSA keeps the families involved and engaged by planning numerous activities throughout the year. The thing I love most about the school is that it is a tight knit community. Our experience at School 16 has been good so far in the 3 years our child has been there.

Two of my kids go to this school. They have not only learned better in subjects but also developed extra skills. School leadership is excellent since last few years after taking over by new principal. This is really a recommended school with nice semi-suburban neighborhood.

This is not a bad school, but it needs better leadership and more enthusiastic teachers. Principal is great, however many teachers appear burnt out. Young children are often discouraged and become disengaged in the learning process all together. Experienced that in kindergarten with my daughter. My usually curious and easily excitable child shut down and became disinterested in school. This fall she started attending a local catholic school (known and recognized for its excellence) and within first few day I noticed a tremendous difference. School 16 could have a been a great school but it definitely needs some changes and probably new staff members on board with more enthusiasm of teaching little people. I was really expecting more welcoming and encouraging environment for young children.

My kids go to this school and I must say that this school is all about politics and no educations. The principal is connected with all teachers and has a strong hold on them - all old ladies teachers who screams all day long. From First grade Mrs.Dineno the kids are all getting situated for a long term 5 year screaming school. The state offered programs are highly recommended by teachers and principals so overtime for teachers.....there are some good teachers like Mrs.Trell in Thrid Gread and but Principal and Board of Ed needs to bring in some new thinking mind, young and possibly men teachers as well. The only man teacher they have is Mr.Roman (music teacher) who also screams with F*** words all day long in front of the kids....The rating 9 does not show the other politics and problems behind the wall....

I was very disappointed with how this school helped out with my son. My son currently has ADHD and is in the Special Needs Assistance program with the state. Since he qualifies for a summer program they sent him to School 16. I dont think they were able to manage his moments of impulsiveness and inattentiveness and I think they were really unprepared to handle these type of children. Even though they kept ensuring me that they had the help and the professionals to assist I got the feeling that the minute he got out of hand and threw the tantrum they pretty much threw up the while flag and made the call asking for someone to pick him up. The principle was great in terms of communication but the my son's teacher barely gave out any updates or assiatnce. I dont plan on having him ever retrin to this school.
