Our daughter went to Delta High for her senior year. The school counselor and his support staff got her transferred the week before school started. She was shown kindness and they worked very hard on her behalf! The new principal is a huge blessing to this school. The teachers did their very best for our daughter. This was Delta High's first year dealing with virtual education. The entire staff and faculty were amazing and successful at making a quick transition. Our daughter has wonderful memories of her year there. May the Lord bless them in the years to come.

Lots of teachers have jumped ship and most high school students will tell you to go somewhere else. Everyone there is depressed and miserable and most of the teachers are just complacent because they are burnt out or just content with their job.

The overall experience at Delta is infuriating and leaves children completely unprepared to enter college or the workforce (excluding agricultural related jobs). Delta does nothing to help children learn, the admins are biased and unprofessional. The school does not help the children who are succeeding and only focuses on helping the students who are failing because they clearly just don't want to be in high school anymore. This school is headed in a dark direction. No one learns anything at this school. Students will be left completely unprepared for college if they even graduate or get into college.

My Daughter graduated at CMS last school year. and has gone over to Delta High. she is special education. and doing fabulous! Mrs. Spralding is the best. she refused to see my daughter fall behind she kept pushing and encouraging and she did it. My son just started at CMS and he loves everyone. Mrs Hiromoto office manager is an angel handles everything just as smooth as can be, never seems bothered and as kind as they make them. Mrs Uslan Principal and Mrs. Walker vice Principal are very strong Leaders and make the schools run as best as they do. we are very grateful our children attend this wonderful smaller community!

Overall, its an esthetically pleasing atmosphere. The classrooms are clean, the grounds are very nice, and the number of students enrolled is nice. We like a small town feel. However, the Staff is extremely disengaged. They don't interact with parents unless the parents reach out to them. They also don't utilize their counselor. There are several kids I know of who clearly would benefit from counseling and as a Counselor, I personally would be on the lookout for red flags or warning signs. It seems that the counselors only job is on an "As Needed" basis. The principal is pleasant to deal with but she should also be working with the counselor for students struggling academically to ensure they get the best shot.

There are certainly draw backs of going to such a small school but the benefits are numerous. Being in such a small community, students receive a ton of support. Also, there aren't very many other schools at which so many students can be involved in so many activities and excel at them all. The school is basically void of problems most big schools face. There is MAYBE one physical fight a year, the school has little to no gang violence, there is no circulation of hard drugs, and bullying is not an issue because of the everyone knows everyone factor. Class selection can be limited, but there is plenty of flexibility in changing your schedule after the school year has started. All in all, pretty good school.

As a parent at Delta High school, there was a big change recently. I read the review from a student who said the prom and homecoming was canceled. This is not true last year and the year before. Also, they support hispanic students with classes, counselors, scholarships, and college nights. I am sorry that student had those experiences but honestly I do not think that is what is happening anymore. They have FFA classes and some great art, music, and Spanish classes. I like that the teachers all know my son and care about how he does. This would not happen at a big school. Go Saints!

People say that high school is supposed to be the best time of your life. Personally, my time at Delta High School was a complete waste of time. I have attended DHS for 3 years, but have recently decided to finish my senior year somewhere else, so I could have a REAL high school experience. This school is a huge disappointment. As much as people say the teachers really care about the student, they don't. There's no diversity. I feel that the Latino population at DHS isn't given the same help/opportunities as other students. About 90% of this school isn't interested in things like Prom, Homecoming, ect. (Plus the price to attend these events are way to expensive) So because so many people don't care, the event is canceled, and it ruins the High School experience for everyone else. The school's agenda revolves around the FFA program. It seems like if you aren't in FFA, you are looked down upon. FFA kids get away with lots of things that other student wouldn't, because they are favored by certain teachers. I hate this school, I wish I never attended, I wouldnt recomend it to anyone. http://www.greatschools.org/california/clarksburg/4661-Delta-High-School/?tab=programs-culture
