Both boys attended from kindergarten through 5th. Had a great time, really great school.

I will be sad to leave sunnyside when it’s time to move to middle school

Complete disgrace to education. We’re leaving this absolutely horrible school.

We loved the ethos on paper, but we found that for all the talk of the "individual child" if your child was on either side of the middle there was no help or interest. We saw two other families transfer for this reason, as well. We had behaviour issues and saw our child slide backwards in learning at this school, issues that did not occur at our previous school, and once transfered to a new school, all went away, with just minimal support. There were lovely things about the school and the arts and PE teachers were amazing, but the two main teachers we dealt with were not helpful, and one was straight rude, and refused to help us or communicate with us. We wanted to like this school, but we are so much happier at our new school.The learning style could be good for some kids, but was so loose, a lot of children could be left behind, or left bored.Most parents we talked to ageed if your child is average in learning, they will probably do well, but if your child needs help on either side, this is not a good fit.

I have two children who have attended Sunnyside. I greatly appreciate the creativity, knowledge, and commitment of the teachers. My children are thriving academically and socially in part due to the teachers and staff at Sunnyside. Class sizes are unfortunate, limiting my overall school rating.

I have had both my children go through Sunnyside. This school has excellent experienced teachers, great programs, the best office staff, great community involvement, and so much more!
