All I can say is you get what you put in. My daughter was routinely up till 2 am during sport seasons doing homework. It was very difficult and trying at times. In her 1st college semester she is looking at a 3.5 to 4.0 with A's in the weed out courses for her major. St Ursula taught her how to work and what being prepared looks like. If you are a parent who is an apologist for your daughter this might not be the place for you as your child will be tested. If you are willing to put trust in an institution of this pedigree and while quietly not agreeing with every school decision then your daughter will have a great chance to thrive.

st. ursula was the best decision of my life. i'd go back in a heartbeat. graduating was one of the hardest things i've had to do because i never wanted to leave. i have 147 sisters because of that school. the school is so well-rounded. the academics have over prepared me for college, the sports were highly competitive yet fun, and the community service opportunities are endless. the majority of teachers are very challenging, but fair and will do anything to help. if i could do these 4 years over, i wouldn't change a thing.

I am a current SUA student and I am here to say that this is a great school. It has something for everyone. There are tons of different clubs and student led groups. This school is meant to prepare students for college and that is exactly what it does. The academics are wonderful as well as challenging, yet manageable. Students should expect about four hours of homework per night. There are also many options for students, including CP, honors, and AP classes. It was one of the first high schools in the area to have the Tablet PC program for their students. From last year forward, all grades have tablets which enable a world of possibility. The tablets also come with responsibility so be sure you or your child feels comfortable with the use of technology every day. The sports are also another big part of the Ursula community, holding many state and even a national title. Is theater what you or your daughter enjoys? Then she will love St. Ursula Ensemble Theater which puts on a total of three plays each year, with the last being a musical performed at the Aronoff. If the price is what holds you back, just know that there are financial aid opportunities and scholarships available.

We have had two daughters attend SUA. They are both very different in personality and academic ability. They both loved the school. The school has a way to bring out the very best in the students regardless of their strenghts. If you ask most high school students how they like their school, at best most say they like it. If you ask an SUA students, they say enthusiastically that they LOVE IT! The school has a strong religious program that emphasizes social justice.
