We have had an awesome experience at Wiederstein. The teachers are amazing and the Principal is wonderful.

One word...AMAZING!! Both of my girls went to Wiederstein from 2010-2013 and loved it! This school is great! From the front off staff (Mrs.Cleckler is the best) to all of the teachers(Mrs.Legg, Mrs.George, Mrs Key, Mrs Diaz, Mrs.Travis, Mrs.Schriewer, Mrs.Braziel)...it's obvious that they all care about kids! We are a military family and had to move on to another duty station but my girls left that school both as A and B honor roll students! I only hope the next school they attended will be as wonderful as Wiederstein!

My daughter attended 2nd & 3rd grade at this school and LOVED every second of it... She had Mrs Diaz for 2nd grade and learned so much from her. She was so caring and nurturing and always quick to call us if she noticed any out of the ordinary, which proved to me that she really does care for her students... In 3rd grade she had both Mrs Evans & Mrs Klinge, who are both phenomenal Teachers although did not seem quite so involved with parents (Keeping us up to date on progress etc) Overall we loved the school and the caring teachers, but there is so much emphasis on passing the constant tests, the kids move quickly from one thing to the next, which I believe is a problem with all Texas schools, not just this one...

My son is in Pre-K here. Pre-K is offered to low income and military. My husband is stationed at Randolph. This is a wonderful school. It is a newer building and the entire staff here are truly excellent. I couldn't ask for more for my child's first experience at school. As far as the test scores for the state tests: I have a friend who teaches near Dallas and she told me to read the parent's reviews because Texas' state tests are constantly changing and not a good indicator of the school. I wouldn't have chosen this school based on this site's review of the test scores, but that just shows that tests are only one factor to consider. The teachers are involved, the kids are happy, the atmosphere is friendly and my son is learning and socializing. We love Wiederstein so much that we don't want to leave the school district when we buy. It's been that great!
