My daughter has attended this school for 3 years and I've found everyone from the principal to the teachers very helpful. Our daughter has grown academically each year and each one of her teachers has taken the time to understand how she learns and take the time and patience to help her grow academically and emotionally. The school gives students support in learning how to resolve problems themselves and gives them emotional and practical tools to help solve problems and relational issues. The school teaches the students the 7 habits of happy kids which my daughter has found greatly helpful in and out of school. I would highly recommend this school. Also, class size is still very reasonable averaging 20-25 students per class which gives students one-on-one time with the teacher that is needed to help academic growth.

Lots of Bullying in this school, blame everything on my son, when he only defends himself of the bullies

This is a very good school with very good teachers. They have fun family involvement activities like school carnivals. What would make this school move to a Great School is a dual immersion program. The majority of schools in the EastLake/ East Chula Vista have a excellent dual immersion programs that are impacted & attract families to those schools. We are one of the only area schools without a dual immersion and it causes strong students to leave to other schools. OV should strongly support implementing dual immersion.

Best 1st year! Our Kindergartener loves coming to school and has learned so much in such a short time. Big thank you to all the principal, assistant principal, teachers and staff that have made this such a wonderful year.

The teachers are fine. Some are even outstanding. They lack needed supports, and the administration rides on the test scores. The test scores are higher because the kids spend over a month taking practice tests. It's not a bad school, but they miss many opportunities to become a great school.

I don't undertand how communication is not delivered on a timely manner!! The speech contest is this week and according the paper it was suppose to take place on Jan 31 @ 9am not Jan 30. I cannot believe a principle would do this to families. I'd like to add there could be more healthy lunch options and give bigger portions!! My kids are starving with they get home. And they menu they have for the week means that, that is what they'll be servicing that day. So many times i was going to pack lunches but kids were disappointed that they didn't serve what was on the calendar menu!! What's up with that???

This is an excellent school, the principal is very involved and my son's teacher Ms. Aste from 1st grade is amazing. We love her, she creates a great environment for the kids and I really enjoy her way of teaching. I recommend this school 100%. The only thing that I would like to see is music class, spanish class and other programs like gifted or immersion. Other than that, it's a great school.

Great school, wonderful teachers and wonderful principal. We love their no bullying patrol, their organization and commitment. My son loves going to school, he is in 1st grade and we love his teacher Ms. Aste. I would like to see more advanced programs for kids though and a Spanish immersion to make it a 10 and grade it excellent.
