As a student, I feel like the environment is great for the most part. Because of it being such a small school in a small town, everyone knows each other. The teachers are very laid back and friendly. The school board however, needs improvement. There's not a lot of options for classes, sports, or other activities. For example, there is no football, swimming, golf, soccer, or anything like that. There is boys and girls basketball, volleyball, cross country, cheer, and we co-op with Georgetown- Ridgefarm for both softball and baseball, as well as track. Most students and staff are very friendly.

I no longer feel students are safe here. One student was pinned against the lockers and had his/her life threatened by other students. When the parent came to the school demanding to see the student that had just been assaulted, they were placed in a separate room and told they couldn't see their child. An hour and a half later the parent was told everything was fine and the student would be remaining at the school for the day. The administration "swept it under the rug", as they have done with many things of late. Bullying from faculty and students has become a daily norm. When the above larent wanted to file charges with the local police, they were told they had better not, it would just make matters worse at the school.
