Lakeside is a wonderful learning place. The staff is caring and professional and our granddaughter's (3) experience there this school year, 2012-2013, has been exceptional. They have been provided the best of teaching and learning, and extra activities that fit their needs. They loved their teachers, their bus driver, their friends; what more could one ask for? As former educators, their grandpa and I give lakeside the highest of ratings! Thank you!

The teachers at Lakeside are amazing. The fifth grade teachers took it upon themselves to adjust their math curriculum a couple of years ago because around 75% of their students were in the top quartile for the state. Now they start their year with sixth grade math. Last year, no student ended the year below grade level. Fourth grade is integrating this model as well. I think third grade is looking into it. Saxon math is watching this program and tracking the school's progress. Their new principal (I think she has been there two years) is experienced in grant writing and has used that experience to bring in new technology to a school that was lacking in that area. It is a great school, but even more so if your student is G&T, High Acheiving or on the bubble of those groups. Almost every classroom there is a cluster class. Chisago has a great school district, but Lakeside is definitely the best of the bunch.
