BEWARE! This school is unorganized and the principal is not very professional. It seems that everyone that attends that school is somehow related and therefore people who do not attend the church or isn't related get different treatment. Seems to allow strangers to take care of the children and they allow children to call someone "papa" which is something that should probably be told to the parents and not just find out by your child. I did not appreciate it that at all.

We have been attending CCC for 7yrs now. I will keep my son in this school only due to ratio child to teacher and faith based school. I am ashamed at the way CCC has dealed with some of there issues and was deeply sad to see yes 2 of the best teachers let go. I have also seen many families leave. I would pray that all adult, staff petty disagreements would be put aside for the sake of the kids. I believe its what the Lord would want and then maybe the Lord would bless this school with a abundant amount of new kids..

The best two teachers that were at ccs were fired the students are heart broken and the parents are livid the love and compassion these two teachers displayed throughout the last twenty years changed hundreds of students lives. the school staff should be ashamed of themselves ....practice what you preach those kids and teachers their deserve better. Do not enroll your child into ccs you will be wasting your money.

Mrs. Phelix and Mrs. Alveraz were fired a week after school was dismissed for summer break. After over 20 years of both teachers working their the office staff cgave them no reason for their termination. What kind of christians do that to two teachers, heartless ones I guess? Both teachers are amazing teachers and human beings. Parents, students and former students are outraged. CCS should close heir doors now before legal action is taken. If you plan enrolling your child in ccs DNT DO IT. The best of the teachers are gone. I hope the staff prays for forgiveness for what they have done to those two woman. SHAME ON YOU CCS!!!!

I have two children at this school and after reading the previous reviews felt compelled to submit my opinion. I enrolled my son into Cornerstone two years ago from Country Springs Elementary (public) where he was being left behind and unfairly labeled as "slow" to which retention seems to be the favoured method of treatment. My son did not need retaining, just good old fashioned proper teaching and support. He received both by the bucket load at Cornerstone. His confidence and end of year state test results soared! Thank you Mrs. Alvarez! On the strength of this we went ahead and enrolled our daughter the following year and are incredibly happy with the standard of education and care she has had in first grade. The proof is in the pudding!

This school focuses to much on partys and shows which I feel takes away from academia. Recently at a school function for grandparents they wanted to encourage everyone to keep their kids there and said if you put your kids in public school "they will learn about gay people". Unless your kids live in a bubble that will happen anyways. Apparently the school is struggling to stay open and regulary ask for donations and they try to pull on your heart strings by informing you how some of the teachers and staff don't get paid or have to hold onto the checks. The playground does seem to need some work along with the inside of some of the portables. I will say the teachers do seem to care alot about the students but they alone can only do so much. My daughter is just going to finish the school year and I will transfer for next year along with alot of other parents I have spoken with.

I have only good to say about Cornerstone! The previous post sounds like a very disgruntled unhappy person to me. I have NEVER seen anything like she describes. There are computers in all the Elementary classrooms and Day Care is AWESOME! As with any unnamed review, you have to look between the lines and at the rest of the reviews to get a real picture. The Principal is amazing and loves the kids (and we parents!). I highly recommend this school.

I have been a part of Cornerstone since it first began in 1980. My grown children attended there, I worked there for 11 years myself, and I currently have a child and a grandchild attending. It is a truly unique place because everything the staff does is centered in Christ. Children are genuinely loved and have all of their needs, academic, social, emotional, and spiritual met in a deeply nurturing environment. Class size is great, academic standards are high, and rates are kept as low as possible. I highly recomment this special school to everyone!

My daughter has been attending Cornerstone for 4 years, and is now in the 5th grade. She loves it there, and so do we! The teacher-student ration is wonderful, and the school has a very warm and loving atmosphere, while at the same time challenging the students academically. We could not reccomend Cornserstone more highly!
